49 reviewsMy wife and I both liked this hotel, which is walking distance from the main rail station and world-famous 'Banqiao', the little pagoda that appears on Tsingtao beer labels. We went in winter (off-season), so we got a room overlooking the port for less than $50, which is terrific by local standards. The staff were very accommodating and reduced the room rate some so we could enjoy the view. Kind of an old, traditional hotel but you're walking distance from dozens of eateries and shops and Zhongshan Rd. (the main drag), is close by as well. Qingdao's easily accessible now with high-speed rail and is a major attraction in spring, summer and fall, but even on Valentine's Day with light snow falling, it was quite pleasant & romantic.
