149 reviewsMy husband and I stayed one night here as a get away from the noisy Gulou section of Nanjing. Our room, while a smoking room, was wonderful. It didn’t smell of smoke at all. It was clean and very comfortable. We stayed in a small building next to the convention center. The grounds are beautiful and we had a nice walk around the lakes in the late afternoon. The next day we met a friend and walked up Purple Mountain, which was a real treat. The breakfast was adequate. A big plus was the espresso machine. There were plenty of dishes to choose from. In short, I believe the bad reviews were from before this hotel was remodeled. It is now quite nice. The main building was closed for a complete remodeling while we were there. This was the best hotel room we’ve had in 3 1/2 weeks in China.
