The Zijin Hotel is, as my title suggests, clean and comfortable. The rooms appear a little old-fashioned but the bed was large and comfortable, the tv had plenty of English-language programs to fill in an6 spare time. The bathroom was fine with an excellent shower, powerful water supply and plenty of hot water. All of the staff we had contact with were pleasant and helpful especially the maid who looked after our room (1302). Nothing was too much bother. I was amazed to hear that I was going to have to pay RMB8 for each of the sachets of coffee in the room! In 60 years of traveling the world this is the very first time I have seen this!!! Overall cannot complain and would not hesitate to stay here again.
