Kunming IC Holiday Shuncheng

Lived out of the the Bldg A Apt 2605 for over a month as part of a move to Kunming. Our stay here was great! Myself, wife, two kids all happy. Location is great, beds were decently comfy, and internet was relatively fast. Had a modern feel, and kitchen was fully equipped. There was a washer, but no drier (very rare in China), but clothes usually dried quick on the sun porch. Note these are VERY nice apartments by local standards. This was immediately apparent when I started apartment hunting. Showers draining directly to the floor is standard in China; our apartment had vents and heat lamps in both bathrooms, so the wetness wasn't really a problem. Rick was very accommodating and quick to respond to all our needs. There was a 5-gal water dispenser which Rick swapped out for us whenever needed. Also, there was no bathtub, but Rick provided us with a titanic plastic bucket which served just fine. We provided our own pack-n-play for the 1-yr-old. We were pleasantly surprised to find there is a kids play area on the 6th floor (closed the 28th of each month for cleaning). Kids loved it! Warning: If you're expecting more of a hotel-like accommodation, such as daily bed-turning, a mint on your pillow, etc, you'll be sorely disappointed. Sheets and pillows were changed and floors swept and bathrooms cleaned every 2-3 days, and the lady who does this does not clean your kitchen for you. On the other hand, if you're expecting more of a furnished temporary apartment that you mostly manage yourself, then you'll likely be as pleased as we were. Overall I recommend to any one in the similar situation, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
