The staff was young, yet eager to help in any way possible. That was quite refreshing. A few of them spoke a passable English. The room was well-furnished, yet the beds were unusually hard. We knew that WiFi was not available in room (LAN only) and even with the help of a staff member, the LAN still didn't work all that well. There is a lot of construction going on (March 2013). Meaning we had to walk through a lot of dust to and from hotel. The breakfast buffet is Chinese, but (as non-Chinese) we had enough boiled and fried eggs, green beans, and cabbage to satisfy us. There were also a variety of baked and pan-fried breads and buns. This is one of these hotels that built their toilets and showers in the same space. This means that when you shower, the floor gets wet and for a while going to the toilet is a challenge. They do provide slippers, but they're made for midgits. Although the hotel is generally clean, the grouting is dirty showing that they do not use proper cleansers. One issue we had was that on the one full day there, we were gone all day, and upon returning at 7:30 pm, the floor in our room was wet - not just damp - wet. It appears they mopped using an excess of water and made no effort to do a dry mopping. Very poor clean-up service. The bathroom fan had a large buildup of dust. The glasses supplied still had their product UPC stickers on them. Did they wash these before giving them to us??? One issue we had was on our departure. About an hour before our expected checkout time, we asked for the desk to arrange a taxi. They said they couldn't do that and to just order when we checked out. We came down 15 minutes early (just in case) and still with many phone calls, we were still waiting 40 minutes later. We eventually grabbed our bags and headed through the dust to hail a cab.
