With out the shadow of the doubts, the location of this hotel has to be the best in Guilin. Where else would you get the Elephant Trunk Hill landscape in front of your hotel? Not only that, the hotel has a roof top restaurant overlooking the river, the Elephant Trunk Hill and its surrounding mountainous back drop. We were provided with complimentary drinks (soft drink and bottled water) and fresh fruits. It has separate shower, bath and a gym, and decent size room with a long-ish lounge chair which could probably double up as a bed for a child(?) Breakfast is adequate and tasty for Chinese food dinners. There is a limited choice for western cuisine (bacon, eggs-cook to order; jam and toast, pastry). The staff were very professional and helpful with every little request/query we had. Room (on second floor) was quiet at night even though the street was noisy below. There are shops and restaurants on both sides of the hotel, all within walking distance. Zhengyang Pedestrian Street is not far from here, the Sun and Moon pagodas are just virtually opposite the road from the hotel. It ticked all the boxes, we did enjoy our stay and would come back here again. One tip-seeing that this is a rather small hotel, trying to book here may be challenging, especially it also caters for tour group booking.
