HDCL Serviced Residence

This building is conveniently nestled in a street surrounded by numerous supermarkets, street vendors (MUST try) and restaurants which makes allows you to roll out of bed and walk only a few steps to get brekkie. The Sichuan local snack shop right outside the building is a must visit if you plan on bringing regional foods home for friends and family. A short walk outside of the street is a series of shopping centers that have Starbucks and McDonalds front and centre. The room we had on 14F had spectacular views of the city at night. It was one of the few hotels we visited so far that had a balcony (where the washing machine is also located) so that was quite neat. If you need to use the machine, call reception and they’ll deliver a handy packet of laundry detergent. The room itself boasts a comfortable bedroom area with huge wardrobes and can be separated from the lounge area using the curtains (really cosy). In the common area is a comfortable couch, television and coffee table. The only drawback of this place is that the bathroom is only separated from the main area by a curtain. If privacy is your thing, this should be part of your consideration. Overall, it’s a very clean, modern, spacious and comfortable room. You’re definitely getting a bang for your buck. Although this is a ‘serviced residence’ and not officially a hotel, the staff were more than accommodating by providing tips on restaurants, tourist locations and even called a taxi for us. The staff will greet you good morning and evening each time you walk past. This place has the option of non smoking rooms so if you’re a non smoker, make sure you opt for this.
