Rocky RV Park and Campground

For anyone looking for an alternative place to camp apart from camping at Mt Robson itself, we recommend the Rocky RV Park located in the town of Valemount. Although the place looks old and rundown at first appearance, it turns out we really enjoyed our stay here. The proprietors were very helpful and accommodating in helping us select a campsite. The promised Internet did not stretch as far as our site, but my husband was able to get a signal by sitting near the office building. The ladies’ bathroom was very clean. The shower was small and cramped, but the shower itself made up for that by being very strong with lots of good hot water. At the time we visited, mosquitoes were a problem everywhere, but we had minimal mosquitoes at the Rocky RV Park. Perhaps the wind was able to blow through better, or some other reason; regardless, we enjoyed the break from mosquitoes. Within walking distance is the town of Valemount where restaurants, shopping, and a grocery store can be found. Also within walking distance is a Visitor’s Center. Gas was next door and across the street. A very enjoyable and convenient place to stay.
