If you are seeking the Quebec auberge experience & French Canadian cuisine as table d'hote, this is the place for you.  Thanks to Luc, Raymond & Rocky for a lovely stay, and for great directions over the phone when our GPS took us elsewhere :)

It is located on a beatiful setting with a great lake view. Room was very clean and good enough to accomodate 4 adults. The breakfast was simple but great. Owner was very helpful and willing to help with any of our needs.

For one night's stay this is all, we really liked it.

Auberge Havre du Parc is right on Lake Provost and the view from the dining room, where you are served a scrumptious breakfast, is the best in St. Donat. The room decor is typical to that of a European ski lodge with wooden walls and outdated furniture. The place was clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. There are no tv's in the rooms but in typical ski lodge fashion, there is a tv in the main house with games and puzzles. Raymond, our host, was welcoming and cooked delicious crèpes. Breakfast is included as are free walks with Rocky, the owner's Labrador.

Best view of Lake Provost in St. Donat

Winter solitude at its best

If you're expecting the quality of a Hyatt or Hilton, this isn't it.  But if you'll be satifsed with a simple, clean room near the park, it's worth considering.  There's no TV or in-room coffee maker.  The Wi-Fi is marginal from the rooms, but works OK in the main lodge.  The rooms are somewhat dated, looking like they were built in the 1950s and haven't been updated much since then, with slightly shabby carpets and upholstering on the sofa, but they're clean and comfortable.  The bed is comfortable and firm, there's a small refrig, desk & chair.  The bathroom is small, with a shower stall but no tub.  The breakfast is OK, but not great.  

The best selling point of this inn is its location  -  just outside the Pimbina entrance to the Tremblant park, avoiding the 15 minute drive to the village of St Donat, where most of the hotels are located.  But you'll need to drive to the village anyway, since that's where most of the restaurants in the area are located.
