Owners are great rooms are always super clean which is so nice!

Check in was smooth and the staff member (owner?) was very friendly and efficient. Room was very clean and had everything I needed. Visited during an extreme cold snap so did not look around the area too much but the inn is situated right next to the lake and I can imagine is beautiful in the warmer months. Great value for money. I would stay again.

The standard room we stayed in had two double beds and was quite comfortable and cozy.

The staff was very friendly, room was spotless and beds were very comfortable. Marigold's Indian Restaurant is located right beside the Inn and is a must try. Food was full of flavour, absolutely delicious!

Excellent staff and pride of ownership evident

Very clean room.  Comfortable stay.  Gentleman on the front desk put himself out to get us extra coffee and creamer.   Would recommend staying here.

It was quiet, very clean and the management was excellent.

In town for work, perfect location to unwind from the day.  Would also like to bring family back here

Phenomenal stay. The lake is almost attached to the stay and the experience was really good!

This motel is right on the lake so we had a lovely view from our room. It was A quick walk to sunset park where we watched a bald Eagle in a huge pine tree and a glorious sunset over the water. Then back to eat dinner at the best Indian food restaurant I’ve eaten in for a long time it’s right beside the hotel. Try the mango curry and coconut Naan. You won’t be disappointed!!

Overall my experience was good. The staff was super friendly, kind, polite and helpful.  The room was very clean. I was disappointed at the fact that I had booked the room as the first picture I saw on their website was a view of the water.  When I got there, my view was the parking lot.  In my opinion, and that is my own opinion, it is false advertisement.  There might have been small print somewhere stating  that not all rooms are facing the wayer, but I was a bit disappointed.  I could have gotten a room somewhere else for cheaper wirh the same view of a parking lot.

Very friendly, welcoming and pleasant check-in. Spotlessly clean room with comfortable beds, ample pillows and convenient benches at end of beds. Sandy beach with lovely soft sand and afternoon sun. This is a great spot to stay! (Its proximity to excellent dining (Churchill's) is mutually beneficial, I'm sure.

A great place to stay!

We arrived early.  We didn't expect our room to be ready.  It wasn't but he did say he would have them ready first knowing we were already in town!  When we arrived there was a man raking some dead seaweed and removing from the private beach!  Water was clear and the whole area was Sandy and shallow in the little bay.  When we checked in later we found the room was nicely laid out and super clean! I've stayed at some 5 star hotels and I'm pretty sure this was cleaner than most of those!  Only complaint was the AC was a bit chilly but I didn't turn it down enough.  We went for a swim. Water wasn't deeper than 5ft. So we could walk to a small island.  Location, service and cleanliness were top notch! Would totally stay there again!

I highly recommend this place , it’s very quiet and a very nice environment by the lake. You great thing about this place you do not have to hear loud hockey teams ans specially rude drunk parents that think they own the property! The price is very good, this is now my place to stay in Northbay, very glad I found this beautiful spot!

Great place to stay….

Really nice little motel ran by a friendly and thoughtful family.
We had a standard room, we just turned up in the day as we had been doing all over Canada all week and was amazed at how good the room was for the price.

Very clean, everything thought about to make a stay perfect.  If we come back in the summer/ spring this will be top of our list

Room was very clean and tidy and gave the feeling of home. High ceiling, wood interior, cozy sitting area with fireplace. Private beach and nice walking area with a lovely little park and long beach for walking. Even out of season, it was nice to walk along the beach. Indian restaurant next to check-in was very good and staff at hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Sunset Inn and this time was no exception.  The staff is very friendly and accommodating.  Comfortable, safe, and clean are all words I would use to describe this little gem.  It is also close to everything, including restaurants, shopping, and, of course, Lake Nipissing.  I look forward to returning the next time I visit North Bay!

Always a Pleasure

The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and helpful when i asked about places to get breakfast the following day. We were just steps away from a beautiful lake. We were only staying one night and had arrived late in the afternoon so didn't have a chance to enjoy the scenery. The room was fine. Very clean.  Bathroom fixtures were gleaming white.
