Sandbanks Beach Resort

We absolutely love this beach area, there are three beaches and one was close down due the flooding in early spring. We stay at the Outlet beach, it was super clean (even the bathrooms), the sand is soft and water level are perfect for kids. It gets crowded very quickly especially for parking so it is ideal to arrive before 10 o’ clock. We went for three days in a row and the whole family enjoyed it to the fullest. 

The place was great and clean. Would go again another time.

We had a two bedroom trailer with a complete kitchen and living area. Sure it's an older trailer and some updates would be nice but it was comfortable and in a good location. You get a BBQ and picnic table, fire pit and clothes line. Tim the owner is nice and helpful. Angela was great too. You can borrow a pass to the beaches. With the seasonal pass you will bypass the lineups and park for free (parking is at least $15). There are several beautiful beaches to chose from.  From our trailer we walked to Dunes Beach in less than 5 minutes. Run on the dunes and swim in the lake, spend all day if you want. It's beautiful !

Easy to find and only 5 mins from Sandbanks by car. Our RV was in good condition  but the queen-sized mattress is due for replacement. The interior was very clean and stocked with utensils, cookware, and dishes. There was only one  condiment, salt. We didn't use the stove or oven because the propane bbq provided had a side burner and worked like a charm. Don't expect much privacy as the units are close together and far from soundproof. The resort beach is tiny and rock-strewn but a great spot to watch the sun set behind the dunes of Sandbanks. Staff was helpful and cheery. We visited in late September, mid-week, and it was very quiet both at the resort and at the park.We would go back again.

My husband and I stayed at the Sandbanks Beach Resort for 4 days the first week of August 2017.  The resort itself was clean and the owner Tim was very nice and friendly.  He was always around making sure everything was ok.  We stayed in trailer 40B and it was very nice and clean and comfortable.  If I had to say one negative thing, in my opinion, it would be that our deck was too close to the next trailer's deck.  The best part of the trip were the extremely beautiful sunsets.  The views were spectacular - I will never forget them.  All in all it was a very nice 4 day vacation and close to home.

Recently went for a week to Sandbanks to enjoy the beach, local wineries, breweries, restaurants.  Prince Edward County has it all!
LOVED the beach; both Outlet and the Dunes as they are quite different and worth trying both!  Felt that Outlet was better suited for young children whereas the Dunes were great for older children.
Very disappointing to see how people left garbage, plastic, and even doggie pooh on the beach!  Come on folks, let's take care of our countries' treasures like Sandbanks
!

We had a great time at SBR. Watching sunset from the dock at the resort and cycling to sandbanks prov park were highlights. We stayed in one of the RV units. Fire pit, BBQ, deck were all included. It was fun to try out the RV lifestyle. The owner was super helpful and gave us suggested spots to visit.

BE WARNED!!
This review is long overdue. We stayed there for a couple years with 2-3 other families as the location is superb. Campsite is mediocre but you cannot beat the location. The owner Tim is aggressive, rude, grumpy and a complete jerk!
The only reason we kept going back is because of the location. We finally decided that enough was enough of him!
I would not recommend this place to anyone!
He knows that he has a gem of a spot therefore can get away with treating people disrespectfully.
Not at all family friendly. He starts off being sweet but then you see his true colours.
There are many many more accommodations available in the country where you will be treated with respect as you should as a paying guest.

BE WARNED - EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!!

We payed for 2 nights upon arrival but only stayed for one. The sanitary installations on te campsite are way below anything I have seen in camprounds over the last 30 years. When we mentionned to we would not stay for the 2nd night, the manager on site refused to reimburse our payment. Leaving was well worth it, would never return there.
