Guest House Pepi

I definitely enjoyed my stay at the Guest House Pepi in Sozopol. The landlords are friendly and make sure that the check-in is quick and hasslefree. The landlady is not around that often due to the nature of her work, but it's not a major issue if you need assistance because she and her son are easily reachable by mobile phone and respond promptly to calls. The rooms are not that spacious, but have all the modern amenities (TV, refrigerator, and so on) and the hygienic standards are observed. The cleaning ladies are approachable and make sure to change the bed sheets as well as provide additional towels once a week. One minor issue is that the signal from the wireless router is poor or non-existent on the second and third floors, so it's advisable to find a seat in the garden if you need to access the Internet. Also, do take into account that using the air conditioning system is subject to additional charges and this option is not available in all the rooms. On the plus side, there are plenty of convenience stores and eateries, so the guest house could be considered to be strategically located from the standpoint of most tourists. The two main beaches in Sozopol are about a 15 minute walk away from Pepi. Most of the people who live in the area are retired and senior citizens, so noise pollution is certainly not an issue. The security risks in terms of crime are neglibible as well. All in all, while this guest house may not necessarily be the business traveller's cup of tea, I would definitely recommend Pepi to young people who need a cheap place to stay for a holiday on the Black Sea coast.
