Worn out by the summer heat in the city? Well then this is an ideal bolthole. Located in a bucolic mountain valley outside Santo Antonio do Pinhal this pousada has dramatic views, rustic tranquility is a good few degrees cooler than in São Paulo. We even lit the fire in our chalet one evening. Not that it was cold, but just a nice change from the relentless heat back in the city. The pousada clings to a hillside, the views are magnificent, the chalets spacious, well equipped and comfortable with views that look like they were painted by some Old Master visiting the New World. There is a fantastic swimming pool, the breakfast is delicious and Santo Antonio is a very agreeable town for poking around in. Much more charming that nearby Campos. Highly recommend!
