Host N´Roll

We can not speak more highly of this place. Firstly the host (Bird) is an absolute legend. When we first arrived we didn't have a booking but he greeted us with a smile and a cup of coffee without question. Straight away we felt at home even though we didn't even know he had space for us. Bird is so friendly, helps with anything you need and over the 7 nights we stayed there became a really good friend. Bird also is fluent in English which really does help for us lazy English speakers. Gabby his partner also made us feel welcome and we enjoyed her company a lot. Secondly the accomodation is fantastic. It is only a small hostel with 3 rooms and a separate cabin away from the main building. Because of this it has more of a bed and breakfast feel. Everyone is just chilled and the place has a real relaxed vibe. The kitchen is great and the pool is good but we preferred the 5min walk to the beach to do our swimming. He also has a pool table and an old school arcade game which is good fun. Thirdly there is birds famous breakfast. Make sure when you book you get this included. He makes a great breakfast and we absolutely loved every one we had during our stay. He also keeps the coffee hot until well after lunchtime so if you love your coffee this is definitely an added extra. Fourthly the location is fantastic if you like things a bit quieter. The beach is super close and it's opposite the Campeche island. There is also a number of supermarkets just down the road. Hiperbom was our favourite but this is about 15-20 min walk away. If you like vegetarian or vegan options there are heaps of these around this area as well. Finally we just wanted to thank Bird again and hopefully we get to see him again in the future. Again please do not look any further if you are staying in florianopolis or Campeche. This place is a must.
