I was very happy when I discovered that the pousada was owned by a Baptist pastor. I could also attend the meetings of the local Bible-based Baptist church. The staff is friendly and really helped me a lot. The breakfast is plentiful. The supermarket, a budget restaurant a bar and the bus stop are in front of the pousada. About 7 minutes walk you can go to good restaurants (Rock Oceanico the best for me), to the kiosk selling the beach permit or to the boat trip agencies (in the so called Bosque Flamboyant). The nearest beach is Praia do Cachorro where you can walk to. The only substing portuguese fort (Forte do Remedios) is withing walking distance. Wi-fi was free but could only be used to sent messages through Whatsapp and to surf the Internet because of the distance from the continent. The power sockets are 220 Volts and are compatible with European plugs (except UK). The room was spacious and very clean.
