First they made us wait more than 15 minutes on the street, so that the woman who opened the door would be bothered by our insistence. Then according to the same woman, my reservation did not exist, although I did not search on the computer, nor her phone, nor a book, I showed her the confirmation of my reservation. Then she told us that the room was not clean and when I asked her what time she could be ready, she said that it was the day. Finally she was even more bothered when she asked to change her seats, then she turned around and left me talking very much alone, at this time we decided to leave the place, because it was disrespectful and without education.

What a joke this place...apparently there's only one guy responsible for the hostel so he's the only one who can check-in people but it seems like he's never there...
First of all no one answers the bell so I waited already 15mins until luckily someone looked outsiders the window, then I got told the guy is not here and I can wait for half an hour - hour. Which I didn't mind but of course no one offered me to enter...after one hour another guy came and said he won't be back for at least another two hours...So I waited for nothing...very unhelpful and it seems to me they don't want to make money...bad experience and I thought worth sharing...

The hostel has great potentential to be a good hostel. The house is broadly well-planned and is very beautiful and has a nice garden with a pool.

However, it should have more hot plates in the kitchen, there is only one stove. The kitchen was a little dirty and the fridge smelled very bad.

The bathroom in the 12-bed room was dirty and poorly cleaned. When this was pointed out, I got the answer that the bathroom we need to clean ourselves. The bathroom was still cleaned after a bad review, but very poorly. Supervision of the bathroom and the room was poorly managed. Although when the staff was in the bathroom they didn't fill up with toiletpaper even though it was the out. This was repeated several times.

The wi-fi was bad and only worked sometimes.

Diego, one in the staff didn't behave professionally and repeatedly tried to hit on me. He did not seem to feel the situation (that I am straight) he had no social boundaries.

Dirty and bad management

This is a relatively new hostelThe house is very beautiful and spacious, very pleasant to the people who lived there, all young. l Good price/quality ratio. However, there is no attention expected of a hostel. First of all, they did not clean the rooms and do not change the sheets, although when we asked for it they did so immediately. There is no typical hostel care, that they give you a map, that they help you with the tours, that you can solve doubts and eye! nor are there breakfasts or any machines to buy drinking water. A transfer with the hostel to go to Rio and everything was very informal.. since we assumed it was the friend's room, the transfer had to arrive at 7.30 AM and you had to go to 11.30 AM to look for it and we didn't have to ask who Es would arrive the hour until later.

A roommates' house, cheap, pretty but informal.

Pousada is quite large and familiar. The ladies of the Pousada line are nice. Rooms are small but clean. Unfortunately, towels are available on demand only, breakfast is NOT free or even available - you have to provide for yourself!! Lt booking.com has a bicycle rental: there is no one. Location is ok but the information when booking is very narrow: from the bus stop (come from Rio) is a 19 minute walk - the beach is about 15 minutes away. Muckenspray/-sticker is highly recommended. Pool is clean and there is a grill to use - that is quite cool.

Nice poussada

Bon Vivant is located close to the city center (5mins walk) and we spend 5 awesome days there. The place is manager by super friendly Diogo who speak perfect english and spanish and whow made our stay unforgettable! He helps so much to arrange everything from city sightseeing to Damian Marley concert in Rio. When we were there the place was quiet and really clean. The pool outside is definitely a huge plus for this place that I recommend!

Excellent hostel in Buzios !

We arrived at this hostel (for a very reasonable price) and it seemed to be a very cozy renovated house, very nice common areas and rooms with balcony and swimming pool view. Yes, the beds were the worst!! Very rough! It is located near Turtle Beach and a 15-minute walk from Rua das Pedras. The problem was that when we left, no one appeared. We waited 2 hours, but no one. We couldn't even afford it. We also couldn't find the breakfast that was included.

Very welcoming but with little attention.

After an excellent new year in Rio de Janeiro, we headed to Buzios and stayed in Bon Vivant, excellent care, very good atmosphere, very good location, close to the beaches and the center. It was the best decision since during the holidays the streets were crowded and the traffic was long, from the hostel you could walk around the places.

Very good environment.

Stayed here in April 2014 with 3 other friends. Such a great place with a homely, yet social vibe. Night time Capirinhas by the pool with great music is a time not to be missed. All staff are friendly & made us feel at home. Would definitely recommend to any travellers looking for a great place to stay.

Relaxed, friendly & social

Really nice hostel excellent breakfasts swim able pool nice garden friendly host Diego who speaks excellent English . Near Tartaruga  beach turtle sightings guaranteed and easy 2 rial collectivo ride to town and other beaches. Stayed for 4 nights
