The place is well located, close to Geribá and also to the main street where you have easy access to public transportation.The staff is very helpful and friendly.The cleanliness of the place leaves a little to be desired, we stayed 4 days in a shared room of 10 and did not enter or barricade.

Very bad hostel

I didn't like the experience at that hotel at all. Starting with the fact that the surroundings of the hostel is a rather dark place and you don't have much to visit nearby. The place itself didn't like me either because they had everything dirty, the living room armchairs, the living room, the bed mattresses and the pillow, one day I found a cockroach walking down the hallway outside the rooms.

No, I wouldn't recommend it, it's a dirty place.

The hostel with really high quality, the rooms is big and clean, the staff very nice help with any question and know English and Spanish, the hostel not so close to the center but you can go outside take a van from the main street in 3.5 R 24/7 and after 5 minutes you arrive to the center.

Really good hostel

It's a basic sleeping space, the volunteers who work at the hotel are very helpful and care about making you feel at home....a nice experience in a different place and surprisingly beautiful fountains would return a thousand times.

The place is perfect! everyone is super willing to help you and very nice. the place is very large and the rooms are good, they sell caipirinhas very cheap and you can walk to the Geribah. highly recommended!

Super good experience

A very comfortable, clean hostel with a great atmosphere, close to the best surf beach (Geribá), supermarkets and the gas station, excellent price-quality ratio, excursions can be booked at the same location and the advice is top notch.

Around a Geribah.

Lagoon Backpackers is a great located backpackers hostel with very good vibes! It is everyday being cleaned by the lovely staff and there is enough space if you need to stay alone or if you want to hang out there is always someone to accompany. The prices are so reasonable and it is also possible to arrange boat tours, transfers and car rentals again with reasonble prices.
There is wi-fi and laundry service.
It is such a generous place with its traditional Caipitime (free caipirinha every evening at 8pm) and the breakfast  that you can find fresh juice every morning!
It feels like home and has a perfect view of Lagoa Geriba (Geriba Lake) that you can watch it from the cosy balcony.
It is almost guaranteed that you would want to extend your stay as you will never want to leave!

Home sweet home!

What a wonderful find Lagoon Backpackers is. Immediately we felt like we had entered into a home not just a hostel. The vibe here is awesome 
Lagoon is owned by Renan and the girls he has working with him Laura, Zep, Marina, Anna and Maria encourage fluid communication between the guests. 
Caipi time definitely helps with that. Caipi time is between 8 and 8.15 when the girls make a Caipirinha free for every guest. Its a time when everyone talks about what they did during the day and what is happening in the evening. 
You can also purchase a home made meal for around 15 - 20 reals in the evenings. The kitchen is really spacious with plenty of room for everyone to cook. We had a great room above the kitchen with our own bathroom and verandah and so far we've been here for 2 weeks and are planning on coming back. We visited Buzios in late August so I can only imagine what Lagoon Backpackers Buzios would be like in the busy season. I hive of activity with lots more fun and laughter.

My experience in Lagoon could not be better! From the moment that I arrived till my last day, all the people showed an awesome vibe, respect, fun and love. 

Both voluntaries Zep and Laura were pretty nice, as well as other staffs. But those 2 girls deserve highlights because they are AWESOME! Their dinners were wonderfull and pretty cheap for the amount we ate (they do have a vegetarian option). Also, they are so good vibes that was kinda hard to say good bye (I really felt home). Further, they could show/inform all the beauties that Búzios can offer.
