De Boomgaard

I discovered this gem under trying circumstances and I must say not only will I go back, I have been back there. A lovely quiet location where you can hear the wind rustling in the trees while you lay in very a comfortable bed. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed,I know as I have slept in 3 of them. The comforters on the bed are nice to sleep under, but if you want sheets and a blanket you can get that as well. Breakfast was excellent every time, farm fresh eggs any way you wanted them with a lovely variety of local breads and croissants and all the fixings. Best part of breakfast, truly excellent coffee! Dinner, I can really recommend the salmon, what was really special is that Mr. Marc went out of his way to make sure I could have dinner even really late. He takes excellent care of his guests. His Irish coffee hits the spot too. Because of the location and the caring service we decided to have Mr. Marc handle the koffeetafel (family get together after a funeral) for our family. We were not disappointed, all of the family commented on how well Mr. Marc and his staff took care of us. My parents even stayed an extra day because it was so peaceful and service so excellent.
