We had a lovely stay here for one night. The owners are super nice, the place is a modern/classic combo with a very cosy feeling. 
I would totally recommend it to everybody that wants something like their summer vacation. Exceptionally clean. The breakfast is more of a brunch with everything you can wish for. Love it! 
I would definitely come again.

Al the previous wonderful reviews are true. This place is fantastic as are Lieve and Steven. We felt like we were talking with old friends. Unfortunately we were just passing through on the way to Germany but will call again and stay a little longer next time as this B&B and the surrounding area deserve more time.

We spent there 2 nights... The place is amazing, cozy, clean, and very special! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable.. The breakfast was a very good brunch with many options (salty and sweet food)! 
The owners are extremely nice, and you can feel their passion for the place!! 
I would absolutely recommend this place to families, couples, and friends!! 

We just spent the weekend at the "Gilles de Ver" B & B in Ver (next to Houyet) and came back delighted!
Ver is located in the beautiful "Gaumaise" region, with many touristic places, as Rochefort and Han-sur-Lesse.

Lieve and Steven welcome their guests with simplicity, making sure they do not miss anything.

The cottage, an old farmhouse restored with taste and refinement is flanked by a small very quiet road.
The rooms are mostly located at the back of the building and overlook a huge garden, in which you'll love to wander around...

A large outdoor jacuzzi (but nevertheless under shelter) is also freely available (don't forget to take a swimsuit in your luggage!).

The ground floor of the house has large rooms fostering conviviality and as soon as the weather allows it, the breakfast is served on the terrace, in front of the garden, in the "tâble d'hôtes" philosophy.

Breakfast has nothing to envy to luxury hotels. It should rather be called brunch, so there is choice in both sweet and savory local and home-made specialties!

Note that Lieve and Steven can also propose to cook for dinner, if, once there, you no longer have the heart to leave these enchanting surroundings.

The 5 bedrooms (1 in the basement and 3 on the 1st and 1 on the 2nd floor) are decorated with a lot of refinement and the owners have not skimped on the quality of the renovation.

An "honesty bar" is also available, offering soft drinks, wines and local beers at more than democratic prices.
The hosts are also happy to offer you the first one, as a warm welcome ;o)

In a word like a hundred, if you deserve (or need) a break in a sometimes too hectic life, the "Gilles de Ver" is definitely a place where you can recharge your batteries for one or more days!

Beautiful rural location, fantastic welcome from our hosts,  drinks and nibbles after a long journey and they kindly booked us a table at a local restaurant for dinner. Comfortable , tastefully decorated and immaculate room with beautiful garden views . Superb breakfast, fantastic selection of food offered and our host kindly suggested we make a packed lunch for our on going journey! Definitely one of the best B and Bs we have stayed in !
