Pension Strolz

Super nice hosts and lovely place to stay. We received a very warm welcome, and they even issue ski passes there, saving you a long wait at the ticket office. The Rendl room was spotless clean, comfortable, and had great views of the mountains. Good hot shower and a cozy bed. Breakfast is excellent, a great selection of Musli, johgurt, fresh fruit and nuts, along with fresh bread, coffee or tea, and an egg if you'd like one. Served early enough to be at the lift when it opens. The first stop of free bus #4 is just a few minutes walk away, and beacause it is the first stop at the top of Nasserein you'll always get a seat in the morning. 5 minutes to Nasserein Bahn arriving right when it opens, or you can ride it all the way to the center of St. Anton. It is possible to ski back to the pension, but after the very warm and dry end of February, the coverage on the road was a bit thin and icy, so only did it once, but with fresh snow would be easy. Ski room has heated boot racks, making them dry and warm each morning. Large flat gravel parkplatz away from traffic.
