We selected Lech as our base for day hikes because it is located in a gorgeous valley below the tree line and could not have done better than finding this comfortable hotel-pension. Because the COVID-19 pandemic was just starting to allow tourism, the area was quiet, and we had the lodging to ourselves. Room and breakfasts priced out at very reasonable summer rates. Right next door at 439 Oberstubenbach was a perfect restaurant where we enjoyed our best dinners in Lech. Trails head out from this location and public bus, gondola and chair lift service was easy by “Lechpass”. Elizabeth, the owner/operator could not have been more welcoming or helpful in our first experience with the Arlberg area. It will not be our last!
