We were in room 1 as a family it was perfect, yes a bit noisy but we could sit in the dining room of an evening looking at our bedroom which meant our children 5 and 7 could go to bed to sleep while we ate, just like being at home.  The crystal staff were all fabulous, they were friendly helpful and nothing was to much trouble.   Our youngest had her 6th birthday while we were there and the chalet staff made her a fabulous birthday cake and the reps got her a card and a little present.  I can't praise them enough. Would totally recommend this little chalet.  Thankyou for a fabulous week.  

Excellent holiday

Absolutely fantastic holiday, booked through crystal ski & I really cannot reccomend this chalet enough lovely and warm and the crystal hosts were fantastic with lovely warm healthy home cooked food.  Katie ran the team brilliantly in the chalet! Within a perfect location of 15 mins walk to the nursery slope and 2 mins to the bus stop.  The only improvement i would like to see is a heated boot room nothing worse than a frozen snowboard the next morning lol!
Will deffinately be returning!

Family ski holiday

I couldn't find any reviews regarding room 8, when I was booking and it was the only room in the house left.  It is the smallest room in the house (as advertised).  It only has one small window up high, but you have a perfect view of the mountain.  My husband, myself and my 8 year old stayed in this room.  We found it great, comfortable and very peaceful.  The bathroom was fine.  The room itself was very clean with great storage.  If had the choice I would book other rooms on floor 3, but this was great value as we got a free child place.

Chalet Mara itself was great, quite rustic, the food was fantastic 3 courses every night, hot breakfast, cakes in the afternoon.  It had a very relaxed atmosphere.  Very social, but enough space to chill out if you needed to.  Staff very very accommodating.  I will most definitely return.

Top tip.  Hire your ski's at the top of the mountain and you leave them there every night, instead of carting them up and down the mountain and on the transfer bus.  Talk to your holiday rep on the bus on the way to your resort.

Room 8

We were 7 in our party in 3 rooms on the top floor.  Comfortable rooms - room 9 is the best cos it has a balcony which served as our beer fridge.  The chalet was run by 4 lovely young people, efficiently and very caring.  There were two people who had injuries during the week and they dealt with them appropriately.  Food was very good, cooked by Ben, but the wine was like paint stripper.  Bought our own,  I would certainly recommend this chalet to anyone.    It was a bit of a walk to the ski bus but I blame the ski boots !!

Ski trip

Stayed in room 7, at the top of the house. Very roomy for 2 people, with a private bathroom over the corridor. That did not bother us at all. Room had its own balcony and lovely views. 10 mins walk to the bus, with another 10 mins ride to the glacier, or Zell. Kaprun also had a surprising amount of skiing to (good for the odd half day - for good skiers, or full days for beginners). Chalet staff all lovely, all tried hard to ensure we all had a good holiday.
