Hotel Mozart Bad Gastein

Fantastic location for ski bus to all neighbouring locations in the Gastein valley. Lovely big room, good Wi-Fi, good storage space and bathroom was great with double basin and bath for lovely long soak after a day on the slopes. Loved the shower gel-smelled delicious. Pristinely clean throughout. Boot room had plenty of space and secure. The atmosphere felt formal and the decor opulent and grand, from another time. The hotel is steeped in history and taking time to talk to the the owner you will appreciate his interests ( ford cars). The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was great. Breakfast consisted of eggs and bacon, fresh bread rolls, boiled eggs, cold meat, cheese, cereals etc, dinner started with Salad and soup, followed by a starter, main course and desert- meal choices made from a set of two each night for following day. The small bar was cosy with lots of memorabilia reflecting the owners interest in cars. In contrast the main restaurant has chandeliers and regal furnishings, Art Deco windows and wooden panelling. The tables in the dining room had fresh linen every meal, clean towels daily in the room. I liked the traditional vibe. A proper old school hotel with some qwerks but well run by people whom seem to care that you enjoy the stay.
