Daintree Valley Haven

We had a terrific stay in the Sunbird Cottage. We had a wonderful view and watched birds (and wallabies) right from the front porch. Daphne and Peter were very helpful and available, while also respecting our privacy. There are 3 cabins on the property (plus the main house), but we really felt as if we had the place to ourselves. There is a great walking track around the property (more birding and wallabies!) and the ferry to cross the Daintree River and head north is a short drive into town and down the road. Daphne arranged a dinner for us the first night, which was great. She also connected us with an amazing birdwatching cruise on the Daintree River - amazing hosts! The breakfasts were great - fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and jam (and even a Christmas fruit cake), bread, fresh milk, and fresh juice. The cabin was very comfortable and included loads of local tips/information. So happy we found this place and would love to come back!
