Excellent stay at Pippis. Highly recommend. Clean modern updated rooms. Older reviews are pre renovation. The hotel is nice and quiet. And the food is top notch. Not to mention the pricing, especially of alcohol. 10/10

What a great place to stay. Pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern this place is. Fresh towels and turn down service every day. ways to park the car in the car park. Separate entry to the hotel from the bar/restaurant so it feels safe. Even the TV is a smart TV. Will be coming back!

We stay here yearly for a charity walk.  Wow!!! The rooms are so fresh and clean now. The place has been refurbished and tastefully done. Nice fresh colours looking lovely. We had a great front room with large wonderful windows overlooking the lake. The pub is downstairs with a great menu and entertainment. Great place to stay and looking forward to our next visit.

Loved the proximity to lake for views and walks. Restaurant provided delicious meal options for lunch and dinner or there is a cafe across the road for breakfast. Parking at rear is limited so you may end up parking on street. No lift in accommodation area if you have heavy bags. Rooms and bathrooms are very neat and tidy and serviced daily if you want. Friendly staff.

Great water views , big balcony that opened out from our room , comfortable bed , everything about the room was great, the management and staff are amazing, friendly, helpful couldn’t do enough for us, the restaurant/ Bistro area is terrific great meals and not overpriced, decking out front also has tables for food and drinks consumption all areas have beautiful water views, my wife and I absolutely loved this place and would come back in a heartbeat

Overall it’s a great pub , good food for the price and the rooms are small but clean , however only worth half of what they are charging , and it’s noisy from traffic which Pippis can’t help . I did watch a confrontation between a barman who appeared to run the bar refuse to serve whisky on the rocks unless the lady bought top shelf . This is crazy that the only way they put a drink on ice is for top price liquors . I stopped buying alcoholic drinks there at that point . We were staying there so would have bought a lot however I will not support this type of service bullying and will let others I talk to know of such a rip off policy . Won’t be back for that reason alone

The room is great, simple with a good view, the staff are great, wanting to help at every point. The restaurant is great, again great staff. There was no parking on site and had to park at the property next door. To get to the rooms you have to climb a long set of stairs, but I felt secure as there is a locked door you have to go through . All in all a good place to stay.

Stayed here for two nights. It is a little noisy from pub downtowns but they do warn you of it when you book and really its faint music. There was some generator type noise we heard once music stopped. The room was clean, bed comfy. Bathrooms could use some renovation. Pretty happy with service and room. Great location. 

Accomodation Clean Comfy

A fantastic renovation in an idyllic setting on Lake Macquarie. The menu is extensive & meals are well prepared, presented & gratefully appreciated. There were 6 of us, so we tried a wide variety of offerings  &  found them all close to excellent. The steaks were prepared perfectly as ordered, The hot seafoods were exquisite [though crabs lose flavour with too much refrigeration] & the oysters were the best I've had in months.

Quick check in. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed 5 nights so staff recognised me with a smiling face and how was your day. Clean and comfortable rooms.

The room was comfortable enough. A bit of loud traffic noise. No hand towels or face washers. Our stay was comfortable and it was very convenient to have an excellent restaurant downstairs.

Nice spacious room. Food was good.  Only problem was no lift only stairs to rooms, but staff very willing to help with luggage
