22 reviewsI stayed at Pearl Of Contentment in 2016 during Cylcone Debbie and I cannot praise Belinda enough for her warm, caring and welcoming hospitality. She really does care about her guests and want to cater to their individual needs. Her vegetarian home cooking was awesome and how lovely it is to wake up to freshly baked bread every morning. Candlelit dinners on the balcony and special occasions are all catered for with great thought and devotion. If you want to see the natural beauty of Queensland then this is the place for you. I recommend one of Belinda’s yoga/healing classes taken on the balcony overlooking the hinterland. Such an amazing view. Her dear animals are so sweet and it’s a good opportunity for city people to be able interact with chickens, goats, sheep, cows, horses, dogs and wildlife. My en suite room was perfectly clean and comfortable with lots of home style touches (such as home made toiletries) and suited my requirements down to a tee. A myriad of local activities are available, just ask Belinda, or activities can be arranged in house. The swimming pool was heavenly and especially fun when it is lit up at night. I highly recommend Pearl Of Contentment for a getaway from city pollution or for those who want to experience a home style stay in amongst a natural setting in Queensland. Belinda and her lovely family are sure to make you feel welcome.
