Basic room but clean, comfy and convenient. Exactly what I was looking for.

Easy check in, given free upgrade to a spa room which was very nice. Very comfortable king size bed.

This is a motel in a small country town. It is quiet and clean and full of character. Avoca is a nice place to spend some time with a great Pub and welcoming environment

Great country motel. Owners/staff were awesome, super friendly and lovely

I liked being able to obtain crockery & cutlery from the Wreck Room to use for breakfast. Assistance from staff with removing the toilet seat so I could use my elderly mother’s toilet seat frame was greatly appreciated. Likewise, assistance when I pressed the wrong buttons on the TV which resulted in actually swapping over TV’s was also greatly appreciated. I noticed there was only 1 face washer when there should have been 4 for a family room sleeping 4, and I couldn’t find a plug for the bathroom basin, but other than that, everything was excellent. Thankyou!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights for a little getaway. Our room was lovely. It was very clean, smelt fresh, had everything you could possibly need. Our room was quite large. It had a double & a single along with 2 bedside tables, a 2 seater couch, 2 chairs, a coffee table big enough to play games on, tv, microwave, jug, toaster, you name it! Normally breakfast is on offer with your stay but covid has stopped them from being allowed to provide this as it’s a continental breakfast hence my selection of not sure to those questions. The owners were so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this place to anyone and look forward to another stay in this wonderful motel in what we discovered was a very friendly little town.

Extremely comfortable & in a great location.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed a lovely weekend in Avoca, staying in this wonderful little Motel. Lovely big rooms, granted they are a little dated, but everything was exceptionally clean and customer service was very accommodating. The beds very comfortable and shower was lovely and hot. What more does one need? 
And if your coming to Avoca, it’s not to be eating and sitting in a motel room. We were in very close walking distance to two pubs and several cafes and a supermarket. We did two day trips out to Castlemaine and Maldon, exploring and eating our way through several quaint country towns. Will definitely be back as we want to explore the south and west of Avoca, and we don’t even drink wine. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely little town and Motel.

Nice to arrive somewhere & be greeted in a friendly way!

The room was very clean with toiletries supplied. Had plenty of towels & pillows which some other places overlook.

Even though I brought my own water, they have fresh rainwater for guests.

Despite trucks passing, I slept extremely well as you are set back a little from the road.

Shame about the breakfast not being available thanks to Avoca Council being difficult. It was one of the reasons I booked, but such is life.

Clean with friendly service

A great little motel in the middle of town. Staying just after COVID restrictions were lifted in regional Victoria, we were not quite sure what to expect but were willing to be flexible and accommodating of any changes. Our room was exceptionally clean and welcoming, offering a good use of space with a small sofa, good storage, a large comfy bed, lovely spa bath and warm and cosy with the heating on. Candice was really friendly and helpful and although we brought our own breakfast provisions due to COVID restrictions, she kindly provided us with some small jams, butter fruit and crockery. We would definitely stop here again and Avoca is a great little place to stay in order to explore the surrounding area. 

A great motel to stop over and explore the Goldfields region.

My wife and I had gone to Melbourne for Hindusthani Classical Music Festival and having few days to spare decided to go wine tasting in the Pyrennes. On the way over from Melbourne we stopped at  Lamplough Estate winery and tasted their wines which we liked. We then decided decided to stay in Avoca Motel rest and tackle 3-4 wineries the next day.  We found the motel excellent the room clean and spacious. We found the manager Candice a very helpful person. She guided us well about where to go for a meal in Avoca and what to do there.  We thoroughly recommend visitors to the Pyrenees to stay at Avoca Motel. From there Moonambel  is not far. The wineries of the region are excellent.

Visit to Pyrenees Wine Region

We enjoyed a weekend in the area and stayed at the Avoca Motel.  Very comfortable, with a reverse cycle air conditioner to keep us warm on the cold winter's night.  The Motel is a little dated but is well kept, immaculately clean, rooms are of a great size with a couch and coffee table, tv and free internet to keep you entertained.  A continental breakfast is included over in the "Wreck Room", where it seems most of the other patrons staying here also enjoyed a communal breakfast.  Tea and coffee is available in the rooms and you can bring your breakfast back to your room to enjoy.  The room we stayed in had a shower over the small bath, and water pressure was great!  The grounds are well kept with areas available to enjoy a seat in the sun, also there is a barbeque and picnic area to self cater. The grounds are not fenced, the driveway passes between the rooms and the grassy area to the back where the reception office is located, so not suitable for small children.

Winery Weekend

The room was fine although i did see a lolly wrapper under the bed that was not cleaned up and the shower could of done with a good scrub. Apart from that the owner was lovely, helpful and very friendly.  The help yourself breakfast in the "wreck room" was a great idea for motel guests and really nice.

Weekend stayover.

Very affordable and the free breakfast was wonderful to have. The room surprised us with how big it was and the hot water and shower pressure was awesome. The hosts were lively and had the lights and heating on for us when we arrived. We arrived after midnight with no check in hassle. I only have one thing to complain about and that is that the water jug had mould inside, which we only discovered after drinking it. 

Good 1 night stay. 

As a group of four couples the Avoca Motel was perfect for our visit from Perth to explore the wine regions and country around Avoca. We stayed for 6 nights. The rooms are not fancy but very spacious,  clean and comfortable. I believe the owners have great plans for renovating. Being able to use the Wreck Room to gather in was a bonus and we would all happily recommend this place to other travellers. Easy walking to the pub and cafes in town and so reasonably priced what's not to like.
