We have stayed here several times now and it's never fails to make me happy .It's a lovely place with self catering buildings .The place is immaculate and very well equipped for a little break away .Andrea the owner is lovely and is quick to respond to any questions you may have .She even offered us a lift into thirsk as she was going there ..she leaves a jug of milk and little goodies to welcome you.These are situated in Charlton miniott we stay to go to races which is about 20 mins walk away. Keep it up Andrea your such a genuine person love my visits

All three rooms I booked were amazing, very clean and beautiful decorated 
Andrea and Darren were amazing hosts and they cooked the most amazing breakfast 
If you wanted home from home book this beautiful place
Fantastic base for the races and has 2 local pubs

Its got everything you need, from comfortable bed and good quality linen to a well equipped kitchenete.
I also appreciate somewhere that is self catering that comes with cleaning materials, this also came with tea, coffee, milk and S&P.
Location wise a short walk to the railway station for a trip into York or a 20 minute walk to the raceourse for the excitment of raceday.
Two good pubs locally for food and a well stocked local store for newspapers etc.
Ideal base for touring the area from or as in our case a short break.
Will recommend and will almost certainly be back.

Fabulous little place, great location for places to visit. About 25 minutes pleasant walk into Thirsk. We stayed at one of  Linden Tree appts. Exceeded our expectations, very modern, clean, comfortable & cosy. Andrea gave us a warm & friendly welcome 👍...we arrived early & our appt was ready.  Andrea gave us some fresh milk for our morning cuppa.  We could have cooked in the appt as it was very well equipped, however, Thirsk has some lovely cafes & restaurants & we like to eat out when away from home. We would definitely stay here again. We spent three lovely days in Thirsk with this as our "home" base. Very easy check in and out - Andrea is wonderful. Super clean, roomy, and quiet. Great internet. Loved having the convenience of the kitchenette with everything we needed. Really hope to be back again in the future. It's an easy walk to the train and about a nice 30 minute stroll into Thirsk.

I had 2 absolutely fantastic nights' sleep. The bed was incredibly comfy with an amazingly luxurious duvet and super pillows. I'm very picky with pillows and usually travel with my own, even though I didn't this time. These were perfect. Everything was very clean and well laid out with plenty of room for my husband and I. 
We both loved the view, being right next to a field of sheep. They even gently woke us up in the mornings. 
The owner is just lovely. Very friendly and helpful. And the check-in process was very easy.
As the parking can get tricky, the owner offered that we could park in front of their garages if needed. Is wasn't needed but it was a really lovely offer.
We had a super stay and would definitely stay again, thank you!

I thought I had reviewed Linden Tree Cottages on Tripadvisor but apparently not. 
My stay was in 2020. I was lucky enough to book quite late.
I tour on my motorcycle and my favourite place in Yorkshire has always been Thirsk, ideal for visiting the NY Moors, and the coast.
The accommodation was superb and suited my needs perfectly. Although I was offered the use of their garage to keep my bike secure overnight it was left next to the cottage, out of sight from the road.
I've not found anywhere, before or since, better to spend a couple of nights. Unfortunately I tend to plan my tours at the last minute and have not managed to book there since.
I'll keep trying!


Just spent two nights at a Linden tree apartment. I must say I we both had a wonderful time. The apartment was spotlessly clean and provided everything we could possibility need for a short break. Must say a special thankyou to Andrea who couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Will certainly be retuning  in the future . Many thanks Bryan & Sharron.

Just had 2 nights in an apartment, really well equipped,  seperate bedroom and lounge area, and kitchen area with everything for a weekend break spotless and handy for nearby places. Definitely recommend and will return

Everything you could possible need, a cork screw, bottled water in the fridge with fresh milk for a cuppa.
spotlessly clean very comfy room. Great views. Great location for our trip to the races.
Andrea & Darren made us feel very welcome it was like home from home.

Spent 2 x nights in the twin chalet. Really fabulous, high quality accommodation. Andrea was very polite & friendly. It was so comfortable & had everything we needed for our trip to Thirsk. Really handy for supermarkets, train station & parking outside. Will definitely be returning soon. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful place to stay

So pleased to have found this lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean, I stayed in one of the holiday cottages B&B for 3 nights last week. Parking was on site and right outside. 

The Cottages are purpose built brick buildings and I had a twin room. I took my dog and we were absolutely fine. The bed was comfortable and I had enough room, and the dog was happy, I took a dog bed with me and she didn’t mind the laminate flooring once she got used to it. It was a detached building so wasn’t a problem if she barked! 

The bathroom had a large walk-in electric shower, sink and loo and a really big heated towel rail. All immaculate.

The main room was furnished nicely with twin beds, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, small fridge, tv and armchair- I didn’t need anything else. 

When I opened the fitted blind, there were sheep looking in at me, they were a delight to see so close up!  The adjoining field had a flock of about 25 of them. 

I had full English breakfast (at additional cost) every day; there’s a dining area which runs across the back of the main bungalow, overlooking the very pretty rear garden. Breakfast really couldn’t be faulted. Cereals, yoghurt, toast followed by a nicely generous cooked breakfast. Unlimited tea and coffee as well. I didn’t really need much more to eat all day, although there were pubs and restaurants locally, and I could have taken a takeaway back to the cottage. 

All in all this was a great place to stay to explore the North Yorkshire Moors. Shame the weather couldn’t have been a bit kinder! I will be going back!
