Excellent restaurant and cosy atmosphere.
An extensive menu with lots of local produce. 
The team were really friendly and helpful and that makes all the difference.
So good to have a good local restaurant, so we will be back for sure. Well worth a visit.

Did not stay here but just had the most excellent dinner. Don't drive past this thinking you might find better you won't. The service is second to none and the food is first class , and well presented and is very well priced. Will definitely return when next up this area.

My daughter and I had a brilliant stay in the Lunardi suite.
 We were both made to feel really at ease and welcome on arrival.
 The rooms were warm, modern and superbly clean with a lovely view into the village. Everything you would need to be comfortable for a few days stay was provided, including modern appliances, Wi-Fi, kitchen facilities etc. 
 The entire hotel has been beautifully refurbished, and restored but the new owner has managed to keep the feeling and some of the history and fixtures from the original hotel which felt very special and respectful of its long history. 
 When it came time to leave, we were both sad to be going. Highly recommended to anyone looking to enjoy beautiful village of Ceres :)

We have literally just left the meldrums hotel after staying 2 nights in the James Wilson suite. All I can say is that this was an amazing place. We were all shocked upon entering the suite as James has thought of everything. Being an apartment we took our own toilet roll and kitchen cleaning stuff but it was all provided along with towels in the bathrooms. No expense has been spared during the recent refurbishment. Everything about this place is to such a high quality from the bedding and towels to the decoration and nik naks making it feel a very homely place. We can't wait to return and hopefully enjoy a meal in the restaurant when it opens.

I stayed here for the Highland Games, oldest free ones in the country, but I’d come back again even without the Highland games. I felt welcomed and had a home feel because the staff is the absolute best. The room was perfect! Cozy, comfortable bed and nice en suite bathroom. It’s a beautiful village to visit.

Enjoyed  lunch here today where my husband &I and our chihuahua Jenna were made most welcome . Sharon who served us was very friendly  &informative. The food was delicious, well presented  and reasonably  priced .Would highly recommend .

What a great find! We spent 3 days in Ceres and had a birthday meal the first night. The waitress Suzie could not have been more helpful and friendly, and what fantastic food! Compliments to the staff and chefs all round - I especially recommend the Honey Heather soufflé with parsnips crisps and apple shards for starters, and the venison was succulent and tender. We were not expecting the level of detail and quality of the food as the hotel itself is quite traditional and not as fancy as some in the area - but definitely worth a visit for the food and hospitality alone. Well done Meldrums!

Wonderful High Tea at the Meldrums Hotel yesterday. All of the family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was exceptional and the children’s menu excellent, service and staff first class, looking forward to our next visit in the future. I would recommend to book early as it can get busy.

Great hospitality from the folk that run Meldrums. We only stayed one night but will return. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Great place to stay if you are visiting this area of Fife. We stayed at the Rufflets earlier in the year and the hospitality and food at Meldrums is much better. Keep up the good work guys and thanks for everything.

Meldrums has recently reopened under new ownership and has been refurbished to a very high standard. The welcome was warm and friendly and the restaurant has a nice ambience. 

The menu has a range of dishes to suit all tastes. The four of us all chose a different dish all of which were very tasty and well presented. 

Both the food and the wine are reasonably priced but £3.95 for a cup of coffee is rather steep.

The Meldrums is a welcome addition to the local dining scene and we will certainly return.
