It was an safe and clean and comfortable place to stay

Would definitely stay again! Quiet pub a quick walk outside of the bullring, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was amazing and inexpensive… thank you so much!

A fantastic traditional looking pub which hasn’t been ruined with modern touches bars have now. That is the beauty of the place. Short walk to the city centre. The pub has lots of interesting history attached, super friendly and helpful staff it’s a worth a stay and drink!

We had an enjoyable stay at The Bull. The room was pretty nice while the bathroom was quite modern. But the best part was the friendly/helpful staff and the locals who visited the pub. Thanks for everything!

Clean and Comfy.  In central part of city.

Stayed here as I was watching a gig at Villa Park. Really friendly service and the drinks are cheaper than where I live! The resident cat gives the pub a great character. The room itself was more than adequate to get my head down, was clean. The only downside was it is an old building and the walls are thin so a bit of noise but for me i expected it. I will definitely stay there again if I'm in Birmingham.

Great stay.

Excellent quirky place to stay! Awesome customer service - i had a trip disruption and the owners were kind enough to store my suitcase for me before opening time as they were around  it was super appreciated. The bathroom was modern and nice while the rooms are styled to be old fashioned. The single bed was satisfactory for an overnight stay.

One night stay to visit family. Checked in at the bar and shown to our room. Decent standard with comfortable beds and clean bedding. Water system a bit noisy and crack in shower tray which meant water leaked onto bathroom floor. Tea and coffee facilities and TV in room with wifi. Lovely traditional pub that served food. Cheap car park- only £7 for 24 hours. 8Would stay again.

One night stay

This is a lovely little place. A friendly pub with rooms upstairs. The pub part was busy and they did good bar meals. I felt fine as a solo female. The rooms were adequate, and clean. Be aware this pub/hotel is right next to a flyover and that flyover is very busy, all through the night. You might want to pack some ear plugs!

Very nice friendly pub

My stay was for one night so I could attend a concert at the utilita arena.Having never stayed in a city centre pub before I wasn't sure what to expect.When I arrived the greeting was friendly and professional and the staff member happily showed me to my room. The room was a single with ensuite shower room. It was perfect for what I needed.The room was clean and tidy, perhaps a little "tired" but that didn't detract from the usability.The room, internal security door and external door all word on a secure card system which allows access when the pub is closed, one thing I was concerned about.Can't comment on parking as I parked in a separate car park in the city.It was a 20 minute walk to the arena, and even on the way back, the route I used was well lit and felt safe. (Worrying for a country boy!)All in all a perfect stay and will definitely be using again. Thank you

Quaint pub dating from around 1729 in the Gunsmith quarter of Birmingham.   As I was waiting outside to check in, there was a walking group from a historical tour who passed by and the leader gave a commentary on the pub. Booked a triple room with en-suite which also had coffee making facilities.  The pub will store your luggage for you. The only problem was that you cannot check in until 12 noon, and I needed to check in luggage before then as I had an event to attend and couldn’t take the luggage with me, so had to miss the first part of my event….Pub is about a18-20 minute walk from New Street station via various underpasses and near to Aston university campus. Once you have checked in, there are emergency contact numbers, the Wi-Fi code and a details of a local taxi firm on the back of a door, most of which would have been useful to have had prior to checking in! Friendly staff helped me with my luggage as there were quite a few steps to navigate and no lift. Didn’t get chance for a drink in the bar, but it’s full of character with lots of crockery on display!

Lovely hotel.  Everything i needed in the room for my stay.  I am on crutches at the moment and one of the staff helped me to my room with my bag.  Had a small issue of a leak from my room ceiling but the staff handle it very quickly and gave me another room.  Overall very happy with stay.  Thank you.

Helpful and efficient service.

For a budget stay, this was great. The hosts were friendly and helped me out with all I needed. Ideal for someone who wants a cost effective stay with the basics taken care of. Room was clean as was the bathroom. Bed wasn't very comfortable but was fine, I still slept ok. Overall, I would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return if needed in the future.

Happy with my stay

Lovely room clean and comfy upgraded bathroom  tv with tea and coffee.  The only issue was the shower didnt  drain properly amd water leaked outside the shower stall onto bathroom floor.Didnt really see staff other than to check in as breakfast wasn't  included we didn't see anyone else but the room was lovely and its recommended if you just need a room for the night thats affordable  x

The pub is a short walk from St Chad's tram stop so was easy to get to. The room was comfortable, compact, but perfect for one person. Smart ensuite bathroom.  The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. All the staff were very friendly, as were the locals in the pub.  Excellent beer and good value for money. There was some noise from the road but I was expecting that when I booked. However, I still had a good sleep on both nights.
