Lovely little guest house with the restaurant below it. The person at the checkout was welcoming and friendly, he brought my luggage up for me to my room which is really helpful because there's no lift, only stairs. Food was delicious (Asian-approved spiciness) and staff was nice. On the Sat evening when I was there , there had been a live band playing outside the restaurant area, they had a stage for live performances. Lovely atmosphere with good food and music. Although if you're trying to get an early rest when a live band is playing (think it ends around 12am) , it would be a bit challenging..Only thing I would say is that the room doors are not auto-locked so you'll need to remember to lock your room door every time you come out -but it's still relatively safe because they've a main door to the rooms that's auto-locked. During outside of restaurant hours, there won't be anyone there but I was able to safely leave my luggage at the reception before coming back to pick it up about 2 hours later without any issues since the main entrance is auto-locked.Would definitely come back to stay if I'm attending an event nearby again. It's situated in a nice area of Birmingham as well, and Morrisons is just across the road.
