Beautiful guest house with immaculate decor.
Sue and  her husband were the perfect hosts and our breakfasts were delicious. 
The location at the heart of the village is perfect for walkers and handy for the Pennine and Teesdale ways. We would highly recommend this B & B.

Our 3rd visit here, and as usual...it was amazing!...Sue , Alan and Wilf the dog are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, brekky is the best!!, all the comforts you could ever need, don't  look any further if you're staying in Middleton in Teasdale.
This visit was for my 50th birthday, and it's safe to say ...it was amazing 🥂👌🐶💖...

One of the best B and Bs I've ever stayed in. My friend and I had the single and double adjoining rooms at the front, sharing one bathroom ensuite. We also used the bath in the separate family bathroom for a long soak after a wet walk one day. Sue was a great host and the breakfasts were excellent (excellent coffee, fresh fruit, home made yogurts too).

The Hill B&B is absolutely amazing it's the most beautiful house so comfortable and friendly. Sue and Alan have thought of everything . The room was absolutely spotless and beautifully furnished and decorated. Everything was really good quality we couldn't have stayed anywhere better. The breakfast was lovely, good quality and well cooked. I wish could give more than 5 stars as we enjoyed it so much. I would definitely recommend The Hill and hope to return in the future.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home.  The owner couldn't do enough for us.
The breakfast served each morning was the best and really set us up for the day.
Obviously the B&B starts with an advantage being in the beautiful Middleton-in-Teesdale.  However, I don't think the view out the window of our room could be topped looking out over the rooftops, then beyond the river and over to the dramatic hillside.
I thought the room was excellent value for money and the perfect base for our holiday.

We stayed for one night with Sue and Alan who made us very welcome in their beautiful home.  Our room was very comfy, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated.  Bathroom was a little small but the shower was good and powerful.  We saw the northern lights while we stayed which was wonderful and Alan kindly lent us a torch so we could wall around the back to view them.   Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful.  We had a lovely stay.

We just, by chance came across The Hill after being let down with our accommodation in Barnard Castle.  What a find indeed.  We stayed in the Annexe which is a separate building across from the main house.  The Annex was absolutely perfect - self contained and beautifully presented with it's own little garden and outdoor seating/dining area.  The Annexe was extremely clean and had everything you could possibly need (and more) for a short stay.  We loved the decor and all the little details too.  From the coffee/latte making machine, freshly ground coffee, fresh milk, soft fluffy towels and robes, prosecco, chocolates, books, 2 tvs, even an umbrella.  Sue and Alan were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.  We didn't try breakfast but next time we stay, we will !   Highly recommend.  Thank you!

One of the best places ive ever been! Stunningly beautiful area, the b n b itself is equally stunning, hosts were so warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, the house, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate, beautifully decorated and so very comfortable! The bed linen is wonderful quality and beautiful, breakfast was a cooked english in any connotation you require, oranje juice, tea coffee, cereal, yoghurt etc, again, everything was immaculate and fabulous quality ingredients. Cannot thank the hosts enough for our 2 night stay, we will definitely return!

Fantastic Annexe at The Hill B&B - wonderful place to stay!

Amazing BnB

We actually stayed in The Annexe  which is separate from the house  and it  is  fabulous.  It’s compact and has everything that you need plus a lovely garden to sit in at the end of the day.   We decided to go self catering although we could have had breakfast in the house if we had wanted too.  The welcome pack was fantastic!  Thank you so much for that Sue and Alan!   We will be back for another visit for sure! 

The Annexe, The Hill B&B Middleton in Teesdale

We had booked our stay of 3 nights, as we had been let down at the last minute. We have visited the area a number of times over the past 12 years, so we are familiar with what is available. After a warm welcome, from the proprietor,  we were shown to  our beautifully presented and very comfortable room with modern facilities.  A superb breakfast, with plenty of  variety. A relaxing stay, thank you.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at The Hill and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Middleton. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated and we were made to feel very welcome. Fresh milk for tea making is always welcome. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and really lovely. We would definitely stay again.
