The host Ali was great and made you feel very welcome. He will go above and beyond and his guest house provides a really nice atmosphere. He gave me many recommendations as well as important advice about moving around in Tunis. The room was neat, air conditioned and cleaned each day. Would recommend. Thank you Ali.

This was a breezy and beautiful house to stay in, and I preferred it to being in a hotel. The neighborhood has many interesting cafes and restaurants and other places to visit and the tram is nearby. Ali was very kind and helpful, and I had the chance to meet other co-travelers over breakfast or sitting in the garden in the evening.

The suite is very tastefully decorated and more than adequate in size for a couple or even a family. It has all conveniences and a wonderful terrace on one side of the apartment and a balcony on the other. Great view from the terrace of city life passing beneath you. Ample breakfast provided by Leila each day. Ali the host/owner of the Villa is a terrific man. Great company for spending an evening with. We made a friend.

Vila Les Palmes is a very warm cozy accommodation. Guests are treated like family. Definitely highly recommended. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is home cooked. The location of the house is walking distance to the old town (Medina) and to the city center.

Villa Les Palmes is definitely my favourite accomodation in Tunis. The Villa is beautifully furnished and offers unique suites and rooms. It is ideally located in the center of the city. Breakfast and meals are home made and yummy. Ali Menchari is a perfect host and has created a special place that feels like a second home. Highly recommended.

Wonderful villa at a good location, first we arrived to villa through a car that we rented from Tunis airport and once we reach place we met Mr Ali (the host) within 10-15 mins, he was gentle and generous guy. The place well furnished and has all facilities that you may require, the villa has a private garden and private place to park your car.
Our stay was including breakfast and I have to thank him about a delicious fresh orange juice which squeezed directly from the villa garden.
Finally it is recommended for family traveling.

Yet another restaurant listed in the top ratings that have closed recently.  Dropped by for dinner and the place is locked and abandoned. This goes for both the bed and breakfast and the associated restaurant.  The economy has surely taken a hit recently.

I enjoyed a very pleasant stay in Villa les Palmes in Tunis. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They serve a very extensive and well cared for breakfast. Villa les Palmes is conveniently located for La Fayette and the Old Town.

If you need a nice place to drink coffe or beer and do some wor, villa 78 is both chill and charming and I recommend it. It is a bit pricy compared with similar places in downtown Tunis and sometimes the quality of food/beverages is not excellent but the space is brilliant.

Villa Les Palmes

Feeling at home in the heart of the city.

My favourite accomodation in Tunis

Warm house

I was brought to this bar /restaurant, by Tunisian colleagues  and to be honest  I was probably the oldest person in the place, but no matter as the atmosphere is welcoming and laid back. . It is clearly a gathering point for young people many of whi work with civil society organisations. The outdoor space was packed by 6pm, but there are seating scattered about in the building and the waiting staff do well to take orders. The local beer and snacks are good; there is wifi available  and there is just a good buzz about the place. I wouldnt like to be booking a room to stay however given the volume of noise!
