During my long roundtrip in Sri Lanka I stayed in many hotels, but some of them made my stay so special, that I can't keep the good experience only in my memories, I have to share. So one of them -Sunrose hotel. I do not have any negative remarks, but plenty positive. Starting with really proper English speaking manager, very beautiful and comfortable clean room, many practical advises regarding our trip and great food. Thanks for providing bikes for going around... I would highly recommend this hotel.

A man found us in the bus station and recommend us to go to this hotel. We were planning to stay 2 nights but we changed our plans because we couldn't sleep there. We went offseason and the hotel was empty. When the rain started the roof of our room started to drip drops of water on our bed. The manager gave us an other room but it was full of cockroaches and change room again. The manager is friendly and was trying to help us in every moment. Also the price is amazing. We paid 24 dollars for two people.

I'm not recommend it

Senrose hotel was a clean place to sleep in Tissa while going to a safari. If you do a morning safari you will need a place to sleep as safaris take of early morning 5 am. Hotel is clean on the surface, unfortunately some unwanted roaches in pur room when we returned from evening dinner. No food offered while we stayed there. 
Cheap for its standards and  snbe recommended  if you are more interested in local dinner than hotel restaurants. I bit far from everything. 

Place to sleep

We were here after a long tiring day with my 7 friends, the manager was a friendly and kind guy he made us a typical Sri Lankan rice and Curry dinner it was really tasty and gave us a best breakfast made it to our order. Rooms were nice and there were some short comes as the TVs are not working half way built Swimming pool and neglected it I guess the management will look in to it, with a good manager like this the owner can do much better job than this.  

Budget Place

Out of town down a dark road. One towel for 2 people. Charged $20 USD, then ask $20 more for air-con. When we threatened to walk, he changed his mind. The restaurant was closed, there was no breakfast. I think we were the only guests. It was clean enough, quiet and cheap, but no more than that.
