Sanmali Beach Hotel

Sanmale Beach Hotel is a hidden gem in western coast, Sri Lanka. The beach front hotel is 1.25 hours driving from the airport. Comparing the cost of staying a night at 5 star hotel, you can stay 3 nights at Sanmale with all the facilities. The staff is so friendly and offers good team work. You may not be having any better food than Sanmale. This is my second visit. My first visit happened on September 2018. This is Just only 10 months past from my first visit. Here is my observation. This time the beach was more polluted than my first visit. There were full of plastic refuse all over the beach. The hotel staff says this is high tide season at Marawila and all the plastics are coming through the sea. One morning when I walk through the beach line I saw one fishing boat came to the beach. The fishermen took the net out. The net was 80% full of plastic and other rubbish. They were able to catch few fish only. Dumping rubbish to the sea is biggest problem in Indian Ocean . It is not only a threaten to the Sanmali hotels life but also will effect all of our health and the future life style.
