I stayed in Dakar for a conference at the King Fahd Hotel. Before I stayed at another luxurious hotel, which I did not like at all and moved then to the La Dentente. The right decision! I can just recommend this to anybody who does not like to stayat the big hotels..It is small, yes the furnitures are old (this is the same in the big hotels), but the rooms are well equipped. My room was at the basement with a terrace and I had a new TV. And what is important the rooms were very clean. The people were incredible friendly and helpful and I liked very much the small bar, where Fati and her friends are working and gathering their friends in the evening to drink a glass. I felt quick very welcome and had a great time. As an alone travelling woman I can only recommend it. The food is very cheap and very good. I want to return...
