Quinta da Foz dos Castelhanos

A Quinta da Foz dos Castelhanos was an amazing choice. It's a wonderful place to stay for a week or two with the family or friends. You can stay at the main house, where you can find nice rooms, or rent one of the houses (we stayed at Casa da Eira) all very clean and nicely furnished, with nice bathrooms, very good kitchen, with all appliances and tools, microwave, fridge, stove. The house also have a cozy living room and a charming terrace where you can find a stone table, ideal for a lunch or a dinner outside in a good summer's day, or just stay there to watch the sun set, having a drink and a laugh. You also have a great barbecue, we used plenty. Apart from the beautiful gardens, the Quinta has a nice pool, 20 mts long, wonderful to spend a morning or an afternoon. Really nice and clean gardens and a surrounding farm where you can find peacocks, horses, sheeps, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, etc, complete the picture... It's a countryside dream, where you feed the animals, you can pick some fresh fruit from a tree and meet really nice hosts, that are always there for help you.
