Staying here was wonderful. The rooms and common spaces are beautiful and perfectly suited to facilitating special experiences : a fabulous space for music and dancing, terraces and rooftops from which to watch the sunset, and dining spaces for enjoyable (delicious) common meals. The beds are comfortable, the rooms quiet, the details thoughtful, and the amenities luxurious for the setting. The hosts are lovely and also knowledgeable about the area. 

As a note: This is ideal for someone looking to organize a large group visit or retreat. Anyone who arranges destination yoga trips should pick this spot rent out!

What an amazing place! Beautiful area and Michelle and Kamal are the best hosts I could imagine having! The scenery, rooms, food and music were much more than expected. Unpretentious, tasteful, and dreamy. It’s a perfect place to rent the whole place to gather a big group. They are very kind, open minded and accommodating! My favorite time was that Kamal arranged a band to come play music for us — and it wasn’t just any band, we were dancing for hours, truly unbelievable!!

I felt like being at home. Nothing is ugly, Michele and kamal were the perfect hosts, the food was tasty and healthy, the evenings full of magic, the trip to de desert very well organized. I am recomending it already to family and friends. I would love to go back and stay longer. THANK YOU

We came as a large group for a birthday celebration. Fabulous experience! Beautifully designed Kasbah with pool overlooking the desert. Fantastic food and helpful staff. Great local band came and played Saharan desert blues. Would highly recommend!

For my 33rd birthday, I brought 20+ people to stay at Kasbah Aitisfoul for 3 nights.  The experience couldn't have been more perfect.  Michelle and Kamal rented the whole Kasbah to us, so we had the place to ourselves, which was dreamy.  The place is perfectly set up--every detail was thought through.  The design, the comfortable rooms, and beds, the food, the pool, and the firepit--everything was done with understated taste and style that made me and my friends feel completely at home.  Beyond the beautiful environment that they have created, Kamal and Michelle also took care of organizing everything--and it couldn't have gone more smoothly.  Not a single hiccup--which is shocking considering we were coming with a party of 20!  They picked us all up in a giant bus in Marrakech, cooked incredible food and organized drinks for everyone while we were there, and took us all to the desert to watch the sun set over the dunes on new years eve.  But Michelle and Kamal went above and beyond--They also organized the MOST INCREDIBLE BAND to play live music for hours for my birthday--I couldn't believe when they started playing that these guys played with Tinariwen--a band I have been listening to for over a decade!  Transcendent music. And then Kamal set up an amazing speaker system for us to DJ and dance the night away almost until the sun was rising!  And Kamal DJ'd some wonderful desert techno for us too!   It was truly magical.  I will remember this trip for the rest of my life.  Thank you Kamal and Michelle!!!

From the amazing warm welcome to the last breakfast  my stay at Aitisfoul was fantastic,  the wonderful hosts Kamal and Michelle  make it easy to feel like family.  Our room was so comfortable, the bed was so clean and beautiful, using carefully sourced natural bedding and decor, often supporting local women artisans. 
The food was a delight, so fresh and delicious, I was a big fan of the soups and amazing fruit juices, all the refreshments and every meal was made with love and care by the chef, with tasty local ingredients. 
The pool is huge, there’s several shade structures and comfortable relaxing areas  where you can sit and enjoy the quiet,  sometimes with the distant sounds of village life occasionally on the breeze. 
The trip to the village market on Thursdays, the Tagine cooking class,  and,  in the evenings the incredible local music in the beautifully carpeted and comfortable outdoor building  near the pool were a delight, the warm and generous host Kamal’s  extensive and enthusiastic knowledge of music was unexpected and fascinating, hearing the tribal drumming on the soft night time breeze at the  end your relaxing day under a million stars is something I’ll never forget. 
I hope to return someday as I left a piece of my heart in what I thought of as my desert home, thank you Kamal, Michelle, Ayoub and Ramal it was  magical. 

An amazing oasis in the desert, Michelle and Kumal have created an amazing space to relax, eat wonderful food, and on my trip I was joined by 16 other jewelry artists taking a 3 day class. Our work was definitely inspired by the local artists. I would love to return some day.

Beautiful in every way. Delicious local food, Michelle and Kamal are friends now. Every detail was just right. Very nice rooms with full amenities. Spectacular setting. Enchanting live music. Would go back in a second. You will love it!!

We had already traveled from Marrakech and stayed in everal Kasbah along the way but when we came here we were greeted by drummers and singing it was a beautiful emotional welcome! The food here at Kasbah Aitisfoul was the best I had so far our whole trip and proved to be the very best! We had a fun cooking class and made our own tagine. The room was large and beautiful with a nice large bathroom. I loved the pool and the music at night. Michelle and Kamal are wonderful hosts and tour guides. All of the staff are kind and gracious. The Chef Mohammed was incredible! The sunrise/sunset deck had a wonderful view of the surroundings the starts at night were so bright! I hope I’m
Lucky enough to be able to return one day.

Kasbah Aitisfl exceeded my every expectation. The buildings, grounds and rooms are so thoughtfully in tune with the desert surroundings, yet every aspect of comfort and accommodation of guests needs are met.
Our room was so comfortable from bedside tables and  outlets for charging phones to the French doors out to a lovely patio to the beautiful lot kidern bathroom with authentic zellige tile so authentically Morroccan. 
The pool area was such a lovely surprise as was the rooftop deck for watching the sunset.
The accommodating staff, the amazing food cooked by a talented chef, the nightly music and the cooking class served to make this experience next level! 
Kudos to Michelle and Kamsl for an amazing desert experience.

Kasbah Aitisfoul Gem of the Desert

A true Oasis

What a gem at the edge of the Sahara and one of the most unique hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The owner has renovated his family’s Kasbah into a luxury experience.

We stayed after coming back from Erg Chigaga and spent the whole day relaxing by the pool and learning… that’s right the cooking class was just as amazing as the hotel!

Cannot recommend enough.

Gem at the edge of the Sahara

We had a really amazing trip! The hosts (Kamal and Michele) were super welcoming and attended to any of our needs. The food at Kasbah Aitisfoul was the best I had in Morocco, it was super fresh and tasty local cuisine. 

The Pool was a fantastic place to read a book and relax. During my stay I felt extremely relaxed and calm out in the desert. It is very spiritual place.
Definitely recommend if you want to escape and feel like a relaxing holiday.

Spiritual Oasis

I will never forget Kamal's place, it just blows your mind. The rooms have a simple style but they are nice and cozy and they feature a small terrace. What I loved most were the two "chillout" in the open area, you would just like to lay there both day and night. The peace and the view take your breath away, and it feels like you are in a bubble out of time and space. Kamal is a great host and a very interesting person to talk to. I enjoied a lot to spend time both with him and his brother Ayu. Can't forget to mention also Mohammed, who cooked for us the best food we had during our holidays!! We staied only one week in Morocco, but the 3 days in the desert were worthed the whole trip!

This is a place to replenish your sense of adventure, your wanderlust, your love for your fellow (wo)man, the spirit of your soul, and the wildness of your heart. This is a place for dreaming , for thinking, for laughing and for everything in between...
