We stayed here for 1 night on our road trip, we just did a google search and this one came up. Very steep narrow drive way up to the hotel, there are a few car parking spaces, and not a lot of room. The man on reception was nice, but seemed a bit stressed, booked us in and gave us our keys, and explained where our room was. We got out the lift, and walked around the corridors, up and down a few stairs, then found our room, it was in the attic. The Room was small, and very dated, with wood effect panels on the walls, and a velux window, so you had to tip toe to see out, the view was lovely. The bathroom seemed to have been updated, with a lovely big shower. The towels were thread bare, the bed was clean and comfy. We decided to eat in the restaurant, as it was too far to walk back into town, you had two choices that you had to book when you booked in at reception. The restaurant was very busy when we got in there, the waitress pointed to our table, then brought the food out, It was bland, didn’t look very appetising at all, but we were hungry, so we ate it, there wasn’t a lot of it. We then went into the bar to have a drink, before having an early night. Breakfast next morning, again very average. This hotel seemed to be in a time warp, it needed a lot of money spending on it, there was a pool, but we didn’t see it. The lady who owned the hotel, just sat at the front door smoking and reading the paper. I found the experience very weird, it reminded me of the Faulty Towers programme. We only stayed 1 night, I’m glad about that, it’s not somewhere I would want to stay again.
