Meltemi Suites

We have just returned after a weeks stay at this beautiful hotel. The transfer dropped us off at the Main Street which is a very short walk to Meltemi Suites, and from my experience it is not uncommon for transfers to drop you off a short walk away in Perissa, as a lot of hotels are located down the smaller roads. The hotel looks lovely on the outside and subtly stands out, with a beautiful entrance. Location wise it is a minutes walk to the beach, where there are lots of restaurants and a few shops, and also a short walk to the Main Street, where there are bars, restaurants and a few shops. We arrived very late in the evening, but Yanna was there to greet us and made us feel so welcome. There is nobody on reception between 12 and 6/7ish but it’s no problem, as the larger sister hotel is only across the road, and you have a key to gain entry to the hotel after hours (if you’re later returning anyway) there are also phones in the room and numbers available, so this is no problem at all. The hotel is small and friendly, it has a picturesque, Greek charm about it, and the court yard we simply fell in love with, the trees and decor is really nice. We stayed in a standard room, and we found this big enough for two and had everything we needed, it was nice and cool during the day and night also. We had a little terrace as we were on the ground floor, but due to the size of the hotel, it felt nice and quiet and we would only see our neighbours on rare occasions. The pool area was nice, with comfy sunbeds and a bar area, which if it is unmanned, the front desk team will happily fetch you what you would like. The hotel is incredibly cleaned, and the cleaning team were always happy and friendly and attended to our room daily, with fresh towels and sheets. All the staff we came across were amazing, Yanna and Pavlos (apologies for the spelling) were extremely helpful and friendly. Yanna helped us with any excursions and recommendations, which we were very thankful for. I cannot praise this hotel or the team enough, we will definitely return purely for the hotel and the staff at Meltemi Suites. Food wise, breakfast was lovely, a smaller but good selection for the size of the hotel. Everything from, cereal, toast, cooked breakfast and continental, with juice, tea and coffee. For lunch and dinner, there are so many good restaurants nearby. Yanna recommended a great pizza place a few minutes walk away. There is also a blue street food vendor on the beach (turn right), he sells BBQ corn and it is amazing, we ended up going here a few times actually. So the hotel is well linked, and also has a bus stop very close by which can connect you to Fira and Oia for a few euros and this runs frequently.
