I have had a wonderful experience at the Startfish Jibacoa hotel with my family. The attention is very good from the staff. The food is well prepared. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The beach is amazing for nautical services such as catamaran trips, water bikes and diving. I will repeat the trip for sure.

My visit at Starfish Jibacoa hotel was an amazing experience, sincerely i recommend this hotel as a turist destiny of high quality. Services were excellent and offerts show variety. Congratulations for hotel personnel. The wheather was nice all time and i loved the beach.

This is a wonderful safe place to relax and get away from it all.  We spent two weeks there over February and March 2025 where we were treated to amazing hospitality and incredible evening entertainment.  If you are looking for a five star all inclusive abundance of everything North American … go somewhere else.  This place is authentically Cuban with absolute rustic Caribbean charm.  It was not about night life or partying but about a genuinely relaxing environment with Staff that will make sure you are taken care of and talented performers in the evening doing an amazing show every night!  The Son Dancers in the evening are not to be missed.

I came with my partner to Starfish in Jibacoa and we had a great time. They treated us very well from check-in to check-out. The workers are very professional. The bungalows are surrounded by nature, just like the hotel. It is a place for relaxation and meditation.

Incredible stay at the Starfish Jibacoa hotel. I loved coming with my family to spend time together. The staff is wonderful. The food is delicious and varied. The rooms are super comfortable and very clean. The views are incredible. I recommend it.

If you are looking for a vacation in a cozy place where, in addition to its beaches and sunshine, you feel well received, that is Starfish Jibacoa. The joy of its people is contagious, especially the animation team. They can teach you everything from dancing to throwing a volleyball. I leave them a 10/10 and I'll be back soon! 🇨🇦🇨🇺

Jibacoa cute and beautiful, known for its beaches, I loved going to this venue, I will definitely return, a lot of kindness on the part of its staff, I loved the attention of Eva margarita barcelo, in her I took a friend I want to see again, I love Cuba, her customs, her person generosity is something that cousins in them see you soon jibacoa......❤️

I absolutely love this place. This is my second time at this resort and I plan to come back. The grounds are stunning, it’s so quiet and clean, the beach and mountains are breathtaking. The food is great! But one of the best things about this place is the workers. They are so helpful and fun. The entertainment team is great, and they will even help you organize a trip off the resort, like going to Havana. If you want a nice quiet vacation with beautiful surroundings and amazing service and staff, this is your place!

This resort is amazing. People will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is incredible. 
Spanish coffee is a must every morning at the lobby bar. Just a hint take some powdered milk there is always a shortage.
Food is great lobster, broccoli and the sweets are delicious.
Beds are comfortable, pillows are great and the renovations are coming along rapidly.
American money is used more than Canadian but both are accepted. It is easier to tip with bills than loonies. 
If you have room in your suitcase take a little extra for staff. Chocolate is a given. Easy to pack and inexpensive to take.
Dog and cat food are appreciated as well.

Best way to refresh your self go to villa tropico and heal your body and mind with the relaxation you get there .highly recommended

My favorite resort in Cuba!

You won’t regret staying at this resort

It is always been a pleasure staying in villa trópico, I have been going  and staying with them from past one year and this time I went alone and I never felt that I was alone there because of the friendly family environment of all the staff specially Ms. Diurbys, Ms. Carla at the front desk and Ms. Yaneth at public relations and Ms. Annabel  & Ms. Yisi and lobby bar , Mr. Luis & Mr. Alfredo at pool side bar and Ms. Wendy at the pool side cafe as well as at buffet with her colleagues would like to mention a few names Ms. Jaweli, Ms. Ania , Ms. Barbrita and many more Ye si want to mention a bout the entertainment team is also amazing Ms. Nancy and Mr. Jonas I am sorry guys if I miss anyone of your names but you all have been amazingly awesome . amazingly awesome, friendly and family environment 

Almost 50 trips to Cuba but first time at Villa Tropico. We loved it.  Retired Canadian couple, stayed 28 nights, April 9 - May 7, 2023.  Stayed in # 56.
Built in the 1960"s, with only 100 rooms, the resort has a park like feel with lots of mature flowering trees. The cabanas feel very different than a regular hotel room. Feels much more private, almost like your own cottage. Huge balconies. Good bed and pillows. Good air conditioning, shower pressure and lots of hot water. Fridge worked great. Yaneiki was our house keeper and she was awesome. Super attitude, lovely towel art and very friendly.
The beach is much longer than the neighboring Memories Jibacoa property. They work very hard to keep the beach clean. Lots of palapas for shade and never a problem to find chairs. Amazing snorkelling right off the beach, but worth the $10 per person to take the Hobie Cat out to the reef. Thousands of different fish. 
We had two big daytime storms with strong winds and heavy rain. The gardeners had things all cleaned up within 24 hours. Keep an eye out for Vladimir. A wonderful man who brought me aloe vera for bug bites. Bugs love me, but only bad for an hour or so early morning and sunset. Horse back riding avaialble through Mario onsite. We didnt do it but heard good things. There was para sailing available as well for 10 days or so. They take off from the top of the mountain and land on the beach right in front of reception. Looked so cool.  Food was very good. Get there early. No line ups. It was hit and miss a couple of times, but that is Cuba. Fish, chicken, beef, pork, lamb. Great bread. Lots of eggs. Always ice cream and assortment of desserts. Nidia was our waitress and she is lovely. 
A wide choice of liquor at the Lobby and Pool bars.  Rum (of course), Vodka (always had Absolut), Whiskey. Always had beer. Wine at dinner.  The best Spanish Coffees in Cuba. They even made us iced Spanish Coffees.  Maykel and Zulia are the absolute best bartenders we ever had in Cuba. They are "The Dream Team".  The Animation team was fantastic. Especially the Water Ballet on Saturday night, and the amazing dancing show 3 nights a week in the huge palapa behind the pool. Those dancers are incredible.  Yunor at the pool became a good friend.  Guest mix was approximately 50 / 50 Cubans and non Cubans. The Cuban people are so friendly and usually 3 generations with the cutest children !
On May 1, Memories Starfish became the operator of the resort. A huge amount of renovations and improvements have been taking place. The new General Manager, Alain has the team working very well.  New furniture in the lobby and pool. Everything being freshly painted. New palapas. New Barbeque.

I have been there multiple times an it just keeps getting better. The food has improved very much,the staff is exceptional,rooms are very clean,ambiance is great but exceptionallly the entertainment staff is out of this world! Always there to help with everything you need and also they entertain you all day at the pool and at night when they have their shows. My experience was amazing and i can guarantee that i will be returning again and again! Very highly recommended! Almost forgot clean and great beach not to crowded!

Great time!

This was our first trip to Cuba. The staff was great, always eager to assist whatever the issue. Food was not bad, but Cuba is not known for great food anyway. Pool and beach were lovely. Took a couple of day trips with cubanexcursionsbyeddy.com, the first to Havana and the second to Veradero and Matazanas. We toured in a 1932 Ford Model A(?) convertible to Havana with our guide Alicia and our very experienced driver. Went to Veradero/Matanzas in a 1945 coupe convertable again with Alicia and driver Diego. Could not get over the information imparted during these tours by Alicia, who was conversant on every subject she touched on. We let her take the initiative as to where to go, just told her we liked history. She even took us to the Beatles Bar in Veradero when my husband mentioned he was a huge Beatles fan. We could not recommend their services enough.
