Hostel Levicki

Hotel location 100m from walking area in center. Own free parking. Modern and big rooms. View on river Sava from room. There is no traffic noise and it is quite. Good and fast service. Very good option for stay in Slavonski Brod. 

This is a really nice hostel overlooking Sava River.  It clean, comfortable and spacious. Nice and generous breakfast is included. Staff are friendly and wifi works well. I stayed in both private and dorm rooms and both are good value.  The same owner also runs Sobe Levicki located couple blocks away. This one doesn't have the view or the ambiance but is still a great value with same amenities. Even though both places are located near a street with decent night life the rooms are surprisingly quiet. I would definitely stay there again. 

Clean and spacious rooms, nice view of river Sava, good service. Great location, town center pedestrian zone just around the corner. Free own private parking. No traffic, very quiet place. Recommended.

Nice place to stay a night in Slavonski Brod

The best hotel in Slavonski Brod

On December 12, 2016 I made threw booking.com, a reservation in Hostel Levicki for one night on August 16,2017 for the price of 48.70 euro plus city tax.
Less than one day before my arrival (on 15.8.2017) I received an e-mail from the hostel saying that the price was wrong and that the correct price is 81 euros plus city tax.
I was furious for many reasons. First of all I felt that I was a victim of fraud, that they blackmailed me since I was on my way with my family of two kids and that I couldn't trust them anymore. 
The next moment I called booking.com and explained them the problem but since I couldn't trust the people in the hotel any more for my safety or my car's safety, I asked booking.com to cancel the reservation without any charge. 
The help line in booking.com was very helpful and they communicate with the hostel so finally they cancel the reservation.
It sounds like a story but, thanks God, all the communications was made threw computers so I have proofs of all these.

The worst experience I ever had.

We spent a night in this hostel just 2 days ago.
I am a frequent traveller and have had various experience while staying in hotels all over the world. What I experienced in this hostel was something unbelievable.

We checked in quite late. The room seemed to be ok. Later we noticed a broken lap, big stains on a couch and walls but mainly the heating was not working at all. We told about all the night staff, they came to check the heating and they said it shroud be ok in a while. It was not and we woke up in at 5 a.m. shivering and could not sleep till the morning.

There was not enough hot water, just for one shower, then the water was cold.

The night staff told us that the breakfast was included in the price. When we came down in the morning there was no breakfast. When we asked the staff she was surprised and seems to be annoyed but said she would brig it. She brought some small butters and jam, 4 slices of cheese (!) and bread that was 3 days old - we could see the date! There were no cups, no hot water for tea and the cheapest brand of instant coffee, no napkins. We asked her for bringing the missing things and if she could bring us fresh bread, She brough 5 slices(!) of fresh bread in 10 minutes.

There was a manager so we told the receptionist that we would like to talk to him. He was sitting in the dining room, the same as us, but he said he had no time. We went to talk to him and the receptionist was translating it . We complained about the cold in the night, the cold water in the shower and the terrible service of the breakfast and wanted discount, we paid 53 euro for two people and our doggie. Suddenly a women appear, probably his wife, she could hear our complaints and started shouting at us and was very rude - she said that the heating was on all the night and we just had to turn it on! (Of course that it was on but it was not working!) Then she said that if wanted discount she could charged us for our dog, that the hostel was for people and not for dogs. (We were accept with our doggie by the night staff who talked to the manager about the our dog and he agreed).

We could not believe it and still really cannot believe how rude the staff were and how terribly the place is run.

It's one of the most terrible hotels I have ever stayed and I would not recommend it to anybody.

It was a complete disaster. The people have no interest in making their guests happy and the lack of good manners, education and experience in the hospitality industry was more than obvious.
