This is a great little hotel/resort on a beautiful beach on the east coast of Hainan - far from the busy resorts of Sanya. Set in a coconut plantation, and consisting of cute little 1 and 2 story bungalows along the beach, this resort sees a small trickle of Westerners and mainly caters to Chinese tour groups. A true 3-star hotel, the western toilets were nice to see. All rooms have A/C and two twin beds. Good restaurant, friendly staff, hammocks in the palm trees, good swimming, no vendors to disturb your relaxation - this is the perfect place for true downtime in a very busy, bustling country. VERY LITTLE English spoken - so know a little Mandarin before you arrive!! We paid about $30/night in low season. 1 hour by local minibus or taxi from Wenchang bus station, which in turn is 1 hour by air-conditioned luxuary bus from Haikou East Bus Station.
