Friends booked this hotel for me as they were members (20% off). But, when i read the reviews on this site i was worried that I'd have to change hotels. I was pleasantly surprised to find it: . at a great location - a block away from the subway, the 103 bus stops just out the front and is the best way to get back from beihei park or the forbidden city, close to a decent coffee shop in the basement of the shopping centre on the corner of the mall; . clean - the bedding was good quality cotton and room cleaned daily; . The essentials - wifi that allowed e-mail and website searching access, a nice firm king bed, tv, and a reasonable eastern breakfast; and . The air conditioner worked well - mid thirties outside, but low twenties inside. Yes, there was a spot or two of mould in the shower, no safe or fridge in the room. There was also a Slight damp smell when i first entered the room, but it left after a couple of minutes of having the air conditioner on. The toilet blocked up once and was quickly fixed. If you mind three and a half star type accommodation, this motel is excellent value for money. Tips: . even though the breakfast says is until 9:30, they stop refilling the Buffet from 9:00. I'd you need more, the novotel a block away has an excellent breakfast and lunch buffet; and . There's 2 supermarkets close by for all needs.
