The Manager gave a warm welcome and shared knowledge of the area and restaurants.  The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. 
It is a short drive into town and close to some activities and lovely waterfront.

Great service and a fantastic location! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The attention to detail and friendliness really stood out. The location couldn’t be better – close to everything and with a wonderful atmosphere that makes you feel instantly comfortable.Highly recommend this place to everyone!

I had a great experience staying at the Reef Gateway Apartments at 239 Lake St. Cairns North. We had some friends coming to stay and thought it would be nice to stay somewhere a bit roomier than our apartment so we gotbonline and booked a 2 bedroom apartment, it was fantastic from the time we got there to the time we left we had such a good time. The staff were fantastic. The lady and gentleman in the office were so helpful and easy to deal with. The cleanliness of the apartment was amazing thanks to the awesome cleaning ladies, and the pool and BBQ area were fantastic. Besides the apartments being so good the location is perfect we were out of the busy part of town but we were close to the hospital, muddies for the kids, they loved it. There are a lot of  choices of restaurants or takeaway if you don't feel like cooking, but in saying that, the well stocked kitchen was so good to do some home cooking as well. We can all say we really enjoyed our time with our friends and highly recommend Reef Gateway Apartments to anyone needing a great place to stay in Cairns.

What a wonderful place to stay! From the moment we were greeted by the lovely coupe at reception they were more than helpful with our stay! We booked 4 night but need longer and they were more then accommodating with us, the cleaners were wonderful and helped with everything I needed (and I needed quite abit) the place was clean and everyone staying in the building was nice. Safety of my family is number 1 and with the lovely help from Royce and Jenny I was made aware of the dos and don’t while on my stay here in cairns we had a hire car in the car park the was also safe during this time! I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else honestly

Was amazing! The staff were kind and helpful and the cleaners were amazing the pool area was great for bbqs and afternoon hang outs ! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else

My friend and I rented a 2 bedroom apartment at the Reef Gateway from March 2 to 9, 2020.  The complex is a short 5-10 minutes from the airport, and is about a 20 minute walk to the reef terminal and shops.
The facilities are very good:  beautiful shaded pool, stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, nice shower, good linens and free Netflix!  We were on the ground floor and had a nice, private patio.  Clothes washer and dryer and a clothes 'horse' for hanging up wet clothes.
I can't say enough about the excellent care and kindness of manager, "Michael".  If we needed anything or had any questions he was most helpful.  When I take another vacation in Cairns, I will stay at the Reef Gateway.

Me and my mum and aunt stayed here for 2 night. 
The rooms are big, clean, comfortable and our balkony gives as a nice view into a park with trees and birds. 
At the beginning we realised we had booked a wrong night but after a short explanation to the owners on the phone we were able to check in on another date without any extra fees. The lady was really nice and she took good care of us.
On the next day I had an accident and had to go to hospital so we called them at 11pm and they came to the office and made a room ready for us! Very nice and courteous people. 
Would definitely go back!

Came across these apartments in a central position and right opposite the hospital. Clean, comfy and the room we had was 1st floor over looking the pool and gardens. Michael and Vy are recently new managers to the appartments and were most helpful and informative.  A very affordable, relaxing and enjoyable stay with plenty of onsite car parking and within walking distance of the CBD and most of what Cairns has to offer.  Will go back again for sure. Great accommodation, good rates, clean facility and friendly service all that a traveller expects. 

Units are very clean and tidy. Thoughtful provision of plenty of bathroom supplies.
Manager friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Central location, perhaps a little busy due to being opposite hospital.

Clean and Tidy

Location is great if you need to be at the hospital or if you have kids as it is right near Muddy's (free water playground). But we were unable to leave the aircon on at night because the units were unbelievably loud - so the nights were very hot. The dryer took 12 hours to dry a few items as it kept stopping prematurely so required countless resets. A night light outside rooms on the first floor would be a helpful addition as our ubereats driver couldn't see where to go in the dark. With these items fixed we would most certainly stay here again. Bed was really comfortable.
