We stayed here in a lovely family room .

We had a balcony room so lots of windows and I can see the harbour from the bed.

We went on a great boat trip and the lovely host let us store some of our luggage whilst we were gone. We are now back in the same room and it feels like home. Great breakfast as well !

We stayed here for a night and then took a overnight boat into Halong bay. Then we returned. The owners were so accomodating. They had just taken over this place and are navigating the waters of bad reviews and wrong address on the booking. YES! we went to the wrong place on Cat Ba, granted, only as street away but they were so affronted and apologetic because booking.com had sent us there.

"Just wonderful. Hue and her husband Lan are great hosts, with a good sense of humour, running a clean comfortable hotel in the heart of Cat Ba town. We checked in for a couple of days and then went on a boat trip. They gave us the same room on our return and liaised about the pick up times for a boat trip and return to Hanoi.
Perfect for families, great for everyone.

The host was lovely, the place was brand new so a good price as they were just starting out. There’s an elevator in the hotel which was great with our backpacks. Shower had hot water, air con worked and in the heart of the place but still nice and quiet. Highly recommended.

Had some doubts as it is very cheap, but really enjoyed our three nights here. Rooms are modern and very clean. Manager and his family were very friendly and hospitable and helped us to arrange good scooters, busticket and a non-crowded (!!) boat-tour. A good comfortable place in the rather hectic/touristic area of Cat Ba.

The beds are the most comfortable we had in Asia, the hosts are lovely with good English, breakfast was tasty and the location is convenient. 

Our only complaints were that the shower pressure was low, and doesn't have a cubicle, and the occasional funny smell from the drain. 

We stayed for 3 nights, and opted to go for a Family Room as it had a balcony (very small and unable to see the ocean, but still a balcony) and extra space - and still very good value for money. The room was very clean, huge bathroom, powerful aircon.
The lift was great - no lugging bags to the 8th floor! They also offer a laundry service.

They serve breakfast down stairs, but we never ate there - there were so many other great places for breakfast very close by.

There is a lot of construction going on near by - including right next door. So the room was quite noisy at times. Also the sound of staff talking and pushing trolleys echoes in the corridors : so don’t expect a sleep in! Get out and enjoy the island!
