I've worked in NYC for 24 years and have stayed at plenty of hotels. This is a HIDDEN GEM. Let me explain. Location is central and there's plenty of places to eat within walking distance, MOST IMPORTANTLY "La Esquiña" aka "The Corner" right across from the entrance. I was excited to see it when I pulled up. I didn't know they had a midtown location. Check in was filled with smiles and that's when I found out there were 24/7 FREE snacks on the 23rd floor as well as bfast, happy hour and more...ALL FREE. And not the bad free, the good FREE. The room is clean, the bathroom and shower are lovely with great pressure. The half fridge is clean and empty. There's free water in the gym. The windows actually open which is hard to find in NYC. I'm not paying for the room so I cannot speak to the value, but as I was leaving my room to head to the gym today a hotel worker saw me in the hallway and asked if I came from the room with the DND tag hanging on the door. I said yes and he asked if I would like the amenity he was dropping off to guests. I said sure and it's the CUTEST CHEESE PLATE UNDER A CLOCHE!! If you are looking for a hidden gem, this is the spot. Only notes I have are i wish they had valet parking, but they make up for it with a discount at a local parking lot (RARE IN NYC) and if the have the budget soon, I would suggest shampooing hallway carpet. That's it. There's also a bathrobe and slippers in the room. I'm HIGHLY impressed and have asked the company I work with to use this hotel whenever possible. Also the closet is a nice size.
