Imagine a large prestigious hotel reduced in size somewhat but with the same standard of accommodation food and service and you have The Jacobean. 
Besides the quality they have an ethic here, they really put the effort in to ensure you have a good experience, you can see that from all the staff and because of that the Hotel is run very well and is a very pleasant and comfortable place to stay.

Quite a nice hotel. Friendly staff at reception and also the housekeeping lady. Rooms nicely serviced each day and tea tray provided in the room which was very welcome. The housekeeping staff provided enough toilet paper each day which saved having to ask for more at reception. One of the few hotels I've been to recently where this has been the case. It gets very busy in the car park at weekend so I'd either leave the car in the car park all day or get back late evening to ensure a space. Always managed to get a space overnight though. Handy bus route into Coventry and the NEC just outside the hotel. Also only a short drive to Canley Park and ride for trains to Birmingham and London which was quite convenient. I hope the high standards remain next time I stay in Coventry.

Went for a Christmas meal with family and had a lovely time wonderful food and the staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble will be going again definitely went last ye ar and didn’t enjoy so what a difference well done to all

Absolutely beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Coventry City. Our room was amazing. Truly comfortable double bed, flat screen facing you! A chill space (with another flat screen!)
And THEN a mezzanine with a Double End Roll Top bath 😉
Obviously a flat screen! 
Back down in bed area, a wonderful walk in Rainhead Shower, with separate toilet/basin
The ONLY point that we found uncomfortable was that there are no doors separating toilet from sleeping/chill area. So from that respect, there's no privacy. 

Apart from that, wonderful.

Beautiful grounds with seating areas for a pint and bar snacks. 
A full A laCarte restaurant with exceptionally good value quality dishes. 
A small menu (always a guarantee of fresh, quality cooking - thanks Chef!) 
All staff were amazing, very friendly and smiley. 

A lovely table served full English at breakfast (cereals/toast etc also available) 

Overall excellent value, excellent atmosphere! 

(Sorry we took the Remote Control - though we did bring it back once we realised!)

Had Sunday dinner there as part of my birthday celebrations, First Class, there was nothing to fault so we've booked  take the family there on 11th December for a Christmas meal. Really looking forward to it

Stayed here before and again what a pleasant stay. They staff are sharp and friendly. The room was great with the bath in the middle of the room. The Mrs thought it was great and know has ideas to keep me busy at home when it comes to interior design of our loft space. You gotta love them

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay as it was within walking distance of an event we were attending.
Wasn't sure what to expect, judging by some of the reviews and the low price we paid, but our room, and the room that our friends stayed in, were both fantastic!
Whatever furnishings we were expecting to see, when we opened the door, a wicker chair, hanging by a chain from the ceiling, in the centre of the room wasn't one of them!
We were literally only there to sleep and leave, so apart from a quick drink in the bar before we went out, I cannot comment on the other facilities.
The car park was large and the check in and bar staff were friendly.
Hotel room was clean and well equipped and the bed was comfortable and we will definitely book this place again for the next event in Coundon.

We visited the hotel for an a for an afternoon tea. It was a birthday treat. I can honestly say that it was one of the best afternoon teas I have had. There was a huge selection and so much food. It would have fed double the amount of people. 
The food was fresh, scones were still warm! If was delicious.

First time visiting here, wish I’d come before.. Booked a table on Wednesday night at 7 for me and my wife for her birthday in the restaurant. 
The service of the 2 young girls was excellent and then the food WOW it’s on a whole new level I reckon they must have Gordon or Marco working secretly in the kitchens.  
The starters are amazing and the steak with the biggest onion rings n chips you have ever seen I was in heaven. 
Then to top it off we got 25% off the bill as it was a Wednesday night n I had the fillet. 
Will be coming back every month now. Love it !!!!

Lovely room four poster really excellent food and best value I've experienced in memory - I had the burger the first night and the rib eye next day - 
Receptionist lovely and the bar man a great local guy very friendly - all in all 10/10

THE best hotel in Coventry

Lovely stay

The Jacobean is a great independent hotel close to Allesley. We stayed for one night whilst visiting family. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well decorated, perhaps showing signs of wear and tear. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with good quality plentiful food. I would recommend

Bit deceptive from the outside. looked tired and noticed a ripped seat in 
the bar(like British Rail!) 

Had lunch first, a Porterhouse steak, presented very well

Once in the room, all mod cons, lovely lay out, great decor and a free standing bath in the room. Only fault was the kettle lead just reached the connection to the mains on the edge of the table, Health & Safety would not approve! 

Comfortable bed, breakfast was slow but worth the wait.

Can't complain at all, after seeing some quite negative reviews.. this is our second stay within a few months due to visiting family in Coventry.
Room very clean, linen and towels spot on.. nothing bad to say. Great value for money 😊

I cannot comment on the meals as we ate out but restaurant looked lovely.

Best Sunday Dinner in Coventry 

What a find. Tucked away and great  food and very reasonably priced. On a quiet day the sort of class place you could sit with a laptop and coffee. Grounds lovely on a summers day. Really great place for a large reception.Staff great
