Perfect setting for food, drinks and overnight stay.

Made to feel really welcome, excellent, friendly staff and the landlord was superb! Large hotel with excellent facilities. Large function room, separate private dining area on top of open dining area.

Food was good, excellent selection of local and renown beers.

Two bars for guests. Lovely drinking den bar and nice lounge.

Definitely using again!

What a wonderful stay. Staff made such an effort to accommodate us, can’t thank them enough. Food was quick and well presented. Great selection of beer and wine, kept the wife happy! Will be back soon.

I recently had a very impressive stay at the limes hotel. Everywhere was clean and there was a nice atmosphere throughout. The food was excellent and drinks certainly didn’t disappoint. Got looked after very well with very good service from all staff. Would certainly recommend to all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Limes on Tuesday night. Our bedroom was lovely, clean and spacious.  We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar and Neil was very welcoming and helpful.  Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely return when we are next back in Suffolk.  Thank you!

Really good stay - the room was lovely, they kept the kitchen open to feed us, very responsive to questions and put the heating on as soon as we asked. Breakfast was good too. Would stay again.

I have stayed at the Limes a few times over the years whilst on business in the area. I can’t bull the hotel up enough it’s like home from home. Neil and the family welcome you with open arms and the sausages at breakfast are to die for.

We booked to stay the night at The Limes as our friend was hosting her birthday party in the building. We had a fabulous time at the party which was held in a lovely large well stocked function room. Nice treat. Peaceful sleep. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. 

We stayed for a couple of nights in January.  Sorry for the late review but we wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay.  The room was great and we also had dinner which was very tasty!  The staff were attentive and we felt very looked after.  We hope to visit Suffolk and see you again in the future

I stayed at the Limes early this year and have never been more impressed by the old fashioned family run hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind to me and my family, we only stayed for 2 nights but i wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you so much to the limes hotel and all the staff!

Friendly, clean hotel in the heart of Needham Market

Lovely find

Stayed here in Dec 2019 for 1 night as had a meeting early next morning nearby.  Was able to train it as the hotel is 5 min walk from Needham Market Station.   The room was spotlessly clean and warm, the bed was super comfortable.  Had a meal in the bar (Steak and ale pie was great) and a couple of pints of IPA.  I had to leave next morning early (before the chef started) so the owner came in early and made us both a bacon sandwich whilst we had a natter - He even dropped me off at my meeting because Taxi's were all pre-booked locally.  Great place, lovely owners, clean & warm, great food, great beer- Thanks Neil!

Over and above expected service.

One night stay, would have been improved by having a working shower!  Ours was barely a dribble - we were warned after we’d checked in, so we had to improvise a bit as my son finds it incredibly difficult to get out of a bath due to his disability! However, the beds were comfy and the breakfast was good, plus we had a warm welcome. Chimes from the church across the road may wake you up early, but we liked what we saw of the town, including a stroll up to the lake and the local vintage shop.

Warm welcome

Visited The Limes for a Sunday lunch with my mother in law and daughter. We had a choice of beef or pork as well as the usual menu. The adults had roast people and the small had macaroni cheese. 
I can't fault the food at all, the beef was lovely and the veg cooked to perfection. The mac cheese went down well and the home made cheesecake I'm assured was very good.
The new manager was very friendly and attentive I'm sure he can make a success of this lovely hotel. I would definitely recommend it :)

Sunday Lunch

We were only booked in for one night but we liked this hotel and would happily revisit in the future. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel does need a some updating but I could see that this is underway. Our room was comfortable and clean and we had a very nice breakfast.  Thank you!

Stayed for one night along with our friends after attending Ed Sheeran at Chantry Park Ipswich. Had a pleasant stay in a comfortable room with a good breakfast. Very attentive new owner who helped us with travel arrangements to the concert when we checked in, was there to welcome us back at midnight and served us breakfast the next morning.
Good base for us and a further bonus was the bar being open when we got back from the concert which we really appreciated. 

Pleasant stay

I had viewed housing developments close to Needham Market and was in need of some refreshment so I drove down the High Street looking for a cafe or pub to get a coffee. Now Needham has a very nice High Street with many attractive buildings but when I saw the Limes Hotel I knew I had found the place for me. It’s impressive facade signifies its history and makes for a good first impression. The entrance hall has rooms on the left and right to have food at tables and these looked clean, well set and decorated in an historically authentic style to the hotel’s age (it was formally “The Bull” coaching inn built in early 1700’s) and is a major reason for choosing this place. We went through the hall to the bar area and was served by a young lady who was very attentive to our requests and chatted amiably to us after payment was made. The seating area there was clean and again redolent of the buildings age. I prefer older buildings to retain the internal decor of their original construction and this one satisfies on all accounts. The prices for our drinks were reasonable and we were not rushed in any way once we had finished and we stayed chatting in the comfortable surroundings. I would definitely return here again if I have need to go to Needham Market.

An Afternoon Meeting

The 13 amp plugs were not working and a 4 way extension lead was in the room.Being July the temperature was in the 20ties but no air conditioning or fan providedThe Owners very helpfulDecour  in the rooms tired but I understand they have recently taken over, so work needs to be doneBeing and old Country Hotel many stairs up and down to get to the rooms.
