What an interesting hotel. It has such a lot of history as The Regent Hotel. A wonderful staircase with stained glass window....don't miss it. Our room was large, divided into 3 sections. The sleeping area, a working area, and clothes and bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The shower over a bath was powerful. A good feature was that the windows could be opened...although this was somewhat noisy as the hotel is in the centre of the busy town. But on a humid night it was wonderful. The reception was manned by Christin who was extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He told us of the hotel's history which was fascinating. We will use this hotel whenever we return to the area.

    Exactly Central in town centre

    And adjacent to the eating quarter

    In Livery Street

    What was bad

    No car park,

    “No waiting” signs and double

    yellow lines road markings outside hotel.

    No dedicated drop off point

    for cars outside hotel.

    Only 3 disabled parking spaces on road

    Outside hotel and if

    you take a chance to unload by using

    One (like I did) the traffic warden told me to
